jake_krieger 10 Posted March 10, 2013 I can´t believe BIS changed the realistic wheel tuning to this arcade racer style system. Can´t BIS not at least add the option to choose to drive vehicles with 900° wheel turning ,like in ARMA 2 ?
max power 21 Posted March 10, 2013 Not with the gesture hand steering, I don't think.
jacknorrisuk 146 Posted March 10, 2013 I do like the hand steering animation, but I know what you're saying. I guess it would be too much to ask for full-blown 900 degree hand animations. Although that would be amazing. Yes, I'd settle for an option to switch between the two.
max power 21 Posted March 10, 2013 A lot of people suggest something like that, but I don't think from a development standpoint that having everything optional is good practice. There is apparently an alpha issue tracker somewhere where you can create a ticket and have others vote it up.
On_Sabbatical 11 Posted March 11, 2013 (edited) you can create a ticket and have others vote it up. Good luck with that ... unless you're some shacktac clan leader :s Edited March 11, 2013 by On_Sabbatical banana
max power 21 Posted March 12, 2013 People must search for issues before creating a new one, so I would imagine that people with the same concern would vote for your ticket. But, it's not an issue of the ticket with the most votes wins. There are other considerations, but no one can assess a ticket that doesn't exist.
AussieStig 10 Posted March 12, 2013 Good luck with that ... unless you're some shacktac clan leader :s If people agree with what you're suggesting, then they'll vote it up. You don't need to be a popular community member at all. I've seen several suggestions on there with over 50 people giving it the thumbs up, and I've seen at least 3 suggestions with over 400 people giving it the thumbs up. None of these were made by popular community members
nodunit 397 Posted March 12, 2013 I don't understand..900? are you talking about the wheels rate of turn? Iin which case they are the same...???
max power 21 Posted March 12, 2013 The steering wheel of a car normally turns 900 degrees from lock to lock. In order to turn at the maximum rate of your average car you need to turn the wheel 450 degrees.
Nardypants 1 Posted March 12, 2013 This is actually something I would upvote.
