M113A3 has arrived to VDF today with their "camouflage" in a transport and medevac as part of an arms deal with USA.

Couldn't really find nohq .paa file in the ArmA 1 MLOD so I had to do a it differently but seems like it looks nicely!

if you do use Trouble's gazelle or lynx, be advised there are a few large errors in the config, which add a second turret to every helicopter in the game. I can assist in getting them up to snuff if you need.

Thanks, after I get permission I will let you know! I asked for Lynx only atm, perhaps there will be other that will come in mind.

As well lads, really not sure what camo a chopper should have, I really don't think the vehicle camo would fit nicely with a heli xD

As well guys I was thinking that VDF need a bit of more "soldier" looking like soldiers :P like helmets and so on however that wouldn't mean "getting rid of current ones" what I was planning is making the current one into "Militia" Irregular Military allowed by the Government but they are citizens not soldiers of the VDF or simply are but they are reserve units :P

What ya think? Make VDF more like soldiers and create militia or stay as we are?

I would love to see both professional soldiers and militia forces. It would be cool to have the military's equipment very diverse - the militia forces would be armed with older Soviet weaponry and vehicles like the BRDM and BMP-2 while the professional forces use newer more Western styled equipment. I love the idea of an army using the AUG, I would keep that as the professional army's main service rifle.

Another idea, instead of there being a professional army and militia, why not scrap the militia and make them an insurgent group that is battling for power over Vostria?

That will be done no need to scrap militia since Militia are on government's side.

I will be doing some Insurgents as I said in the little story well let me re-cap:

"Vadislav Capulka is a insurgent leader and a pretender to be a legal heir to the Grand Duchy, he failed trying to take over the power by politics but that does not mean he got popular with some people, he formed a militia and went out from the country the intelligence say he is moving around Middle East, Africa and Somalia as the purpose is to gain more weaponry, he has made meany enemies due stealing ships and buying off illegal armed vehicles. His population grows with not only Vostrians that joined him but people from Africa, Middle East and many more that want to join him and make a free country.

His position is unknown, where he stores his weaponry, armored vehicles and ships, some says he stores most of his equipment in a hidden Nazi Germany bunker from world war 2...

After he has enough to fight with Vostria he will come back as people say, United Kingdom won't join in with civil war due economic crisis, United States due epidemic and nor Russia as its not interested... Vostria is on its own and since its not in UN or NATO they have little friends."

And about AUG's I did not abandon the idea, I will make the VDF use AUG's once again but the AUG's will be Slatts that his making http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?132318-Slatts-AUG-pack&highlight=Steyr+AUG the ones before were quiet bugged and did not work nicely for me like no zeroing, scopes and no recoil.

And the Rangers will still be in service! :P

You're making a fictional Army that's a bit to the East but yet more pro West, but its Independent. You're using both sides weapons for it, and I have nothing against that. Thing that bothers me is that, this what you're alluding to sounds a lot like ex Yugoslavia, you're just missing the red star on that flag. But this your fictional Yugoslavia strives more towards Vestria ( Austria ) so I might assume that you're Croat or perhaps sharing their visions. I'm a Serb and it bothers me to see that 4S next to Chessboard of Croatia and Popes of Bosnia on the same flag framed again. Ok it is a bit political but I told you what I think, and Id appreciate if youd remove the 4S from the flag, I dont care for the others. I'm not nationalist, I'm almost apolitical ( as a man can be ) but this bothered me so I had to say it. Btw what exactly is forth marking just below 4s? If its Kosovo then this is really overhead and insulting. Its just a game I know but there are some lines you cant cross. Like borders of sovereign country?

I do not understand what kind of problem there could be, As I wrote already my fictional military and nation is set in North Sea, Not Balcans, next its based upon Luxembourg here is their flag

- Small similarity Red above but red below, white in center and blue above. My fictional military and nation has no similarity to Yugoslavia and even so I do believe everyone has their views. What I see from your post is "racism" and "discrimination" This is a fictional flag, since the nation is slavic I was looking for a flag and here it is I found a flag and used this.

P.S. And no sorry I'm Polish not Croatian.

Removing this so called "4S" is simply me re-doing all work I have done + It is not my job of a flag as I stated before It was researched in the internet.

Im sorry if its a big trouble for you, but that should be only few textures as you dont have a lot of content yet. In general I dont think any of these nations would like to see anything like this. Its a long story and I wont bother you with it, its not even the place to tell the tales, if you can please find something else.

Now I can go back to normal basis.

Now what kind of nation has a army without trucks, surely not Vostria anymore!

Ammunition truck! didn't want to make the material to be covered with camouflage so I found a great looking green material texture and applied it!

Fuel trucks with word "Paliva" which means Fuel, on two sides, probably not aligned but meh.

Repair truck, not sure why the end part is still in old camouflage tho...

And a new flag.

Too bad I don't know how to do these mud textures, would of look better :P

Next thing to do will be:

Fix the M60A3 texture under the suspension so there will be no camouflage under it but normal texture.

Get a LandRover texture done.

Make a Military Flag - Already have a concept!

Re-Make airforce rundel.

And keep on waiting for Mirage 3 permission and trouble's Lynx and Gazelle to be send to me :P

As well I am planning as I wrote before making a proper military with a proper equipment, and making this current one a militia but Rangers would still be in their duty, possibly the new soldiers would be a CDF re-texture but if there are any suggestions let me know!

However one big problem is that I have no idea how to create config.cpp for units, I know how to edit but not create...

EDIT: Nope LR won't be working because I f'ed up the hiddenselections and the whole shit is "mad"

I really want something unique for a vehicle transport that is similar to HMMV and LandRover - I do not want to use something that was used a lot!

also, i'd recommend looking at other mods like PCDF and see how Gossamer does his configs. Theyre very straightforward.

Once you have a working beta, and put it out to testing, i , and most likely others, can definitely help clean up the configs.

Should it be kept in the forces and be in airforce with Mirage 3? L-39 is used as a recon and support aircraft in the Vostrian Airforce.

And about the Mercedes I looked up and I saw that you need multiple mods to have it working and I don't really want to "use a lot of mods" to run VDF because it would of weight a lot and I want to watch out for that but if I am wrong please do correct me!

And I really thought that VDF need some European stuff, like German, Swedish, French or so vehicles! kind of a MIX of weaponry

Well tried to do some CDF soldier's re-texture however I had a great problem with one texture and couldn't by-pass it to look good...

Therefor if there is anyone that could help me out with the CDF texturing I would be very greatful! If you perhaps would like to help me out please PM me!

As well guys for your opinion, should Militia and Soldiers have different camouflage or should they use the same one? back in time Militia used to have different clothing then Infantry so just saying :'D

EDIT: Well I came up with my mind that It would be very good to make two branches have different camouflages, however since Rangers are in the same mod using same .paa so Rangers will use the same camouflage as Militia.

Now here is a difference between 3 forces:

Militia - Or simply Irregular Forces, those are civilians that are in reserve or are called to help its nation in trouble, number of Militiamen is not big in Vostria but there are alot of patriots to help its nation, they are unskilled men, they use outdated tactics as they did not take advanced trainings and so on.

Rangers - The Elite Vostrian Soldiers serving in the VDF, they are the toughest soldiers in the country, they use the same camouflage like militia use due its advantages, they use modern weaponry range of M16's to M4's

Vostrian Soldiers - They are the peacekeeping forces in the country, advanced and organized men of VDF, they use different camouflage from Rangers and Militia.
