Theres simply too many mods.

Posts get closed as soon as they start :/ Terribly.

A friendly spammer cant even put his colorfull remarks on the forum anymore... when its going to stop?

It just seems like we arent allowed to have a good discussion. Everything thats being discussed seems to HAVE to be about something the mods are interested in, or the thread will be closed. As soon as a mod sees this thread, it will be closed as well.

Its not a personal attacks, but it just seems like its become a sport for the mods to close a thread... their tolerance is getting smaller and smaller, which is bad.

I know it will... But i mean, how can some1 get banned for making a thread like this in an OFF TOPIC section of a public forum:

In case people dont know, the NORMAL reason why people get banned is for being aggresive or posting images that is offensive according to forum rules.

well im no moderator ( jeez i couldnt handle a job like that ) but i see spam, spam, spam, perhaps the ban was put in place because of previous warnings, ive not read the complete thread ( reason im no longer a mod means i dont have to read every thread wohoooo) so not sure if more was said.

And i also noted in another thread that the ban was lifted.

Yes, it was a permban, but its still VERY weird to get banned for that.

This is private board that should server to support OFP community in necessary discussion about OFP game. The fact we have OFFTOPIC forum does not mean you can use it to anythink you like.

We tolerate some offtopic traffic in our forum, but only withing certain limits.

I am afraid for excessive "spamming" you will have to find another forum. Feel free to continue OFP related discussion on our forum.

I don't see a reason for a ban in a little spam. Post restriction would be enough. Aggressions, image posting, warez and stuff deserve a ban for sure...

might be wrong here but all i see is a problem with new moderators on the board, the same thing when i joined etc, i had to put up with some flaming or abuse due to the topics closed that i " thought" were not relevant to the forum.

After a few months of moderating and people getting used to me being a mod eventually slowed down the ammount of messages regarding me closing topics and in the end there was not much said about any topics closed.

Once the new mods are established and been moderating for a while, im sure people will stop complaining about them closing topics or banning etc. well heres hoping
