-COWarModACE full version 1.4 for Play with Six

(The full version for pw6 will have patches v1.2 - v1.4 already applied)

Hey guys, wanted to let you know i wont be able to get to building the update til next week some time as I'm currently in the process

of building my new computer, atm im backing up a ton of files and such and with a single core cpu, its taking a long time.

So til then I will post again when i started working on it again, thanks for your patience.

when i hold q to lean or turn my aircraft this message popups and says: "no units available" what does this mean? and is there's a way to disable it?

That message is from the ARD mod within COWarModACE, means that you do not have any AI soldiers under your command.

When using ARD if you have AI soldiers under your command you can tell them to form "ARD" (All around Defense) which is a parameter circle around you.

If you dont like this feature then just go into @CoWarModACE addons folder and remove ard.pbo

If you would like to keep it then change the keys you are using in the userconfig under ard, its simple to do just read through it.

Aside from the above I/we am still waiting for CoWarModACE to be listed on play with Six, as I had made a request a few days ago to have it listed on there.

TPW-CAS has been updated after this compilation, so I updated it manually. What other addons have been updated since the last release? Hopefully we'll get an update soon, this package makes mod management a whole lot easier.

I can answer you here, let me explain how COWarModACE works:

COWarModACE is a Compilation mod, it is part of my WarMod Series.

The CO part of the mod's name is CO= Combined Ops aka Arma2+OA= Arma2CO.

So essentially the base of the mod is an Arma2Co version of WarMod making it CoWarMod, COWarMod was released in 2011, CoWarModACE is a customized version

of COWarMod made for ACE, now the mod being a compilation mod has about 230+ addons and mods in the mod from from Arma2, and OA, so when you are

loading CoWarModACE you are loading 200+ addons and mods aside ACE mod to add more

gameplay features and effects to the game along side what ACE adds.

Each patch released for COWarModACE like was done for CoWarMod basically updates some of the addons and mods in COWarModACE,

as well as when I find a bug or someone in the community reports a bug, or an error or something where we have to remove a file because its conflicting,

then the patches that have updated files will also have readmes that will list any files to remove that have been found to conflict with

any of the mods in COWarModACE and ACE itself.

As said CoWarModACE is COWarMod customized for ACE, so i had to see what features ACE had and remove any addons/mods within CoWarMod

to make it not conflict with ACE mods features, and there were many, some conflicted, and some where

not realistic in terms of what ACE is about, tactical realism.

In the next patch which Im slowly working on it will be version 1.4 this will update a number of addons and mods within CoWarModACE,

as well as maybe add a some new features, idk atm.

Hope that clears it up for you batchlahawk, and anyone else that has similar questions.

What other addons have been updated since the last release?

I dont know atm, i will have to go through the mods and see what was updated, but what you can do is review the changelogs for the last 2 patches

and see if those mods that were updated then have been updated in the past 6 months, as the last patch was in March.

Update:

COWarModACE is finally on Play with Six

It says version 1.0, so i had put in a request for them to update it with the latest 2 patches.

which will bring it to v 1.3

How about Six Updater? It's still stuck in the 0KB/r0 state (Though it is ver. 1.3....)

I see that COSLX is updated but not COwarModACE?

I dont use either programs so I have really no idea on where everything is at, other then the download page on pw6.

COSLX was put on their with all patches applied already, has nothing to do with COWarModACE.

COWarModACE was just put on there at the start of the week, but they didn't know about the 2 patches I had for it.

The whole mod plus patches are on Armaholic.

Something is conflicting, I had the problem awhile back and it was the pbo 'nom_m113' not sure now which mod its from, but made a note of the pbo, so just enter a search, see if that's what your is. Don't delete it just move it out and check first.

Not sure even now what it was conflicting with, but still, don't use it now..;)

yes there are

The actual list of all the files/features in the mod can be found:

@COWarModACE/Documentation/features/ALL FEATURES LIST (readme)

the names in the list are the file names you can find in the addons folder if you were to look for them.

Theres also @COWarModACE/customization/player movement files/player character movement features (readme)

this readme will list all the animation files in the mod, and give info on what each file does.

my units have a T stance when they get in aircraft.

Can you describe what exactly this stance looks like, T stance doesn't really tell me anything.

no such file in COWarModACE

Suggest what you guys do is run ace by itself and see if you get the same issue, if not then do the same for COWarModACE,

run it by itself and see what happens, be sure to review the readmes I listed above.

Maybe I best be clear, I saw the question and it rang a bell with me. Don’t use cowarmod myself, but had the same type of problem, I run lots of mods, just might be he had the pbo from wherever I had it from.

That was the pbo for me anyhow, don't use ace either..;)

The T stance is when they stick their arms straight out and they stiffen their legs. This happens with the default aircraft and other aircraft that i included from other addons.

Suggest then to not run ACE and CoWarModACe and test those other addons you have that cause that animation to happen.

When i take alot of damage in a aircraft my entire screen goes black then it will slowly fades in. Anyway to disable this?

Remove slx_wounds.pbo, but then you lose all the blood, bleeding, blood splashes, dismemberment, AI drag, object move, self bandage,

Ai bandaging............... and many other things.

There's a few scripts/mods to handle AI firstaid. What I find bothersome about such post-kill fx is that they occasionally hinder the restart/switch menu appearing.
