NOT FOR THE "BLACKHAWK" chopper.<span id='postcolor'> And your point is? The thread is about choppers so we talk about choppers. At least we're not talking about the World Cup or something. Honestly I'm not all psyched about another Huey. I think Martin's Hueys are fine, although they really need to be imported to Oxygen so that rocket pods and dual miniguns can be added more easily to make a "Huey Hog". I'm surprised nobody is helping him with that. The twin engined UH-1 everyone seems to be having a pissing contest over is nice and all, but it's only appropriate for U.S. Marine Corp missions for anyone that cares about mission realism. I'm sure people will use it for Vietnam missions but I think Martin's are MUCH better for that. At any rate, the MH-60 Pavehawk addon is ALREADY finished and we're talking about it simply because no one else has bothered to publicize it much. If that bothers you then you can have the moderator end the thread. Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD>
Eviscerator 0 Posted June 22, 2002 mine and vixers uh-1n isnt intended for vietnam missions ill be making a uh-1d and c for the nam pack for that, this is for gulf war/modern day missions with the usmc and also theres a civilian bell 212 coming from g8 (without all the military gear)
john_mcclane 0 Posted June 22, 2002 I think Miles Teg has a good idea... Why isn't someone that has Oxygen working with Martin to get his UH-1D v1.2 imported into Oxygen and edited? Surely that would be easier than creating all new UH-1D's from scratch. Martin's v1.2 Huey looks fantastic. If someone with Oxygen could add realistic looking weapons (such as rocket pods and Miniguns) to it, and maybe fix the damage hit boxes for the crew, that would be awesome! I would imagine that the basic 3d model could be cut and pasted into the other blocks so that from a distance it wouldn't look like a blackhawk (which in my opinion is the main weakness of his addon). Anyways, I guess it's a moot question since you already have the basic airframe. Just a little tweaking of the USMC Uh-1 I imagine would make it look like a single engine UH-1. So I wish you luck on that. By the way how is the Tornado going? I'm REALLY looking forward to the Tornado. Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD>
Eviscerator 0 Posted June 22, 2002 yeah someone should do that as his first lod can only be 2500 so it wont hurt the game by making all the lods the first one and will make it a lot more enjoyable till oxygen ones come along, and yeah theres enough extra bits on mine to turn it into an old huey, and the tornado is going well, just finishing off i think

Nobody wants to be accused of using the other branches equipment.
Stag 0 Posted June 23, 2002 :embarrasmentmode: Evis, you were right first time with the tail rotor, I've been checking. Every bloody mark before the N built in the USA had the rotor on the left, then one day some designer says: "Hey, let's switch the tail rotor over to the right side while Wardog ain't looking, that way he can make a real prick of himself insisting it's on the left side for US-built hueys!" I hate being predictable. Nice work on the skin, BTW.
