Kremator presents ... BattleZone, MSO, PatrolOps2 & ATCRabbit

Sorry mate. I don't play with ACE2. Lots of things I don't like and therefore don't use it. Anyone is able to ACE-ify it - feel free.

On a POSITIVE note however, I have been able to cram in DAP's first aid (superb! AI will revive eachother if NOT dead, and will drag wounded etc) and F2F AirLoadoutSystem (great for tweaking your aircraft) and it seems to work VERY well. More testing is required however. When complete I will update ALL maps with the latest goodies (about 2 weeks)

UPDATE: 7 hour testing of Takistan yesterday with DAPs First Aid and SkyNet's ALSS proved very successful. Before I release all the islands with these new goodies I want all the choppers and aircraft to be handled by the loadout system (waiting on SkyNet).

However, how is this for a story. 6 hours into the mission yesterday I rejoined my server and the battle was in full swing. OPFOR was getting pasted, but pulled a lucky break with 2 SU39s working together to take out a huge number of BLUFOR tanks pressing the base. During this time I was in Remote Construction mode, looking at the AI in Rasman, when a civ truck went round the corner and slammed into a civ. With DAP's First Aid applied to every unit, the civ collapses and rolls around, and I watched ...... another civ woman was close, ran up to him and revived him ! AWESOME stuff.

Now, I have two small problems - firstly, it looks like I am not seeing all the parameters at mission startup. There's definitely something below the last one on the list.

Secondly, ACRE - My and my pals have been playing with ACRE and it was behaving weirdly (delayed or no transmission).

I noticed in the info (PartrolOps Brief) it states there is a parameter for ACRE radios to be added, yet I didn't see it there. Could it be hiding down below on the list where I can't see it?

I am using CBA, ACRE, JayArma2Lib, BlastcoreVis 1.2 and JSRS.

I may or may not have rented a brand new server with this mission in mind, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Tavish,

Okies, let's take these one at a time. You won't get all the params, as I have knocked out some of them that were conflicting with BZ. The ones that are left are vital for the amalgamated mission :)

Secondly I don't use ACRE myself, but I can't remember knocking out that stuff. Let me look into it and get back to you.

EDIT: OK I have found that I knocked out init-custom.sqf. Will PM you the 'fixed version'. Could you test it and get back to me please?

No pressure on the rented server then ;) Seriously, I'm glad that you guys are enjoying it ..... wait until you see the AI rezzing eachother (or changing your loadout on an aircraft!) New version to follow soon. I'm also working (slowly) on porting to other maps.

UPDATE: ALL previously completed islands have now been reworked. All troops have DAPs First Aid and SkyNet's Aircraft Loadout System is now active.

Still working on other islands - they will get this lovely update too :)

UPDATE: Man I'm on FIRE ! Fayshe Kaybur is now being uploaded to my dropbox. Link will appear in first post in a sec. I have also taken the liberty of HOTFIXING the other missions (of 6b variety) so if you downloaded them recently guys please do so again (it's not a trivial fix but I think you will like it :) )

@Jedra: I've still got quite a few islands to go mate. Thirsk is next on my list ......shhhhh vengeance1 wants to use it for I44 version of the mission, but don't tell anyone :)

LAST UPDATE for tonight. I have created Thirsk and ThirskWinter now.

Due to the small size and no real open, flat areas, PatrolOps2 doesn't work as wonderfully as it should. However this shouldn't detract too much from the action. It is VERY intense. Do NOT download if you have a weak heart :)

LOL no...... I'm just taking greatness and monkey around with it. I definately tip my hat to ZK, without whom we wouldn't have the framework for WAR :)

Porting to other islands doesn't take TOO long - so I don't mind. Every island has a different feel, and the way the battle flows is different.

Great missions, been running it on my dedicated for a few days to play with a few friends.

I would only humbly ask to consider making it ace/acre friendly, particularly adjust whatever causes the ace interaction keys to be disabled. A lot of the patrol ops objectives are impossible to complete because of not being able to use the ace keys for explosives. An acre box would be fantastic as well. Please consider!

Thanks for all the hard work to yourself and the respective mission makers (BattleZone, MSO, Patrol Ops, etc)

Sorry Ajax, I don't use ACE, so I took all the ACE references out. Of course there is nothing stopping anyone ACE-ifying the mission. Maybe one day I'll look at it.

The PatrolOps is in there to give those people NOT wanting to take part in the carnage as little light relief with the side missions. Of course, trying to deliver containers whilst flying over hostile territory perhaps isn't light relief :)

The latest version 6B SHOULD be ACRE friendly.

It´s happening after using the Construction Menu of the Mission (Remote or direct doesn´t matter).

UPDATE: You're going to love this - I have made the AI even MORE aggressive and in 6C you will see quite a massive improvement. I will also be doing some testing to the skill levels as I want LOTS of fighting but not necessarily too accurate!

@ Humvee28 & Ajax133 - Hmmm, perhaps this weekend I'll go against my better nature and enable ACE to see for myself the problems, and if they happen in regular BZ or just in my modded version.

Will be working on Militini island soon too.

Any further requests for islands ? Any further feedback on intensity or war? Any superb war stories?

I have tested it on my Dedi.

Seems like that there is a Problem with ZK´s Battlezone and the ACE Interaction Keys, because the Problem occurs there too. :)

UPDATE: As per request, Podagorsk is ready for action. There are no airports used in this one, as it is separate from the mainland. Boats ARE used to great effect.

NOTE - ALL links updated to take into account latest playtesting. AI are now totally vicious. You want WAR? Set build time down to 10 seconds (assuming your dedi can handle it) and watch the carnage ... you will NOT be able to keep up. I take no responsibility for lost sleep, burnt-out computers :)

Is the inability to save inherent with the mission, or would it be possible to include it? Unfortunately, I don't have access to a computer capable of running it dedi, but I'm not having many issues with my computer running it SP.

Oh to be more annoying, could you make a version for Proving Grounds, the island that came with PMC? I don't see any custom missions for it, and it has a neat atmosphere, but its small so that might turn into something!
