I don't think that is what the OP had in mind, he is asking if the reload is going to be animated not is it going to be a seperate function. I myself would like to see it animated as at least then you get a visual clue as to when you OK to fire again.

Cylinder lock rifles are beeing phased out right now more and more replaced by semi automatic Marksman rifles like M110 or G28..I dont see any need for that feature anymore in a 2030's timeframe game.

That only applies to a small percentage of the world's countries at the moment. I'm willing to bet there will be lots of bolt action rifles in use around the world in 2030.
