KeyCat 131 Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) OK, just did another quick test and now had the target at ~800 m. The issue is still there, i.e no bullet impact on long range targets so appologies for not searching the CIT before I posted. I know the devs have lots on their plates but I would love to see this fixed since it's the "missing piece" for great sniper/spotter co-op missions (as well as when flying pilot/co-pilot in Cobra/AH-64/etc). /KC Edited November 17, 2011 by KeyCat

robmypro 10 Posted November 17, 2011 I am unable to test these beta patches since I got my rig working good and don't want to screw it up. But I wanted to say thanks to those that are helping the devs make these patches. Much appreciated!
HitmanFF 6 Posted November 17, 2011 I am unable to test these beta patches since I got my rig working good and don't want to screw it up.All betas get installed in a separate folder (called beta), which will prevent them from messing up your system. If you want to get rid of the beta patch, you delete the one folder and you're good to go.But I wanted to say thanks to those that are helping the devs make these patches. Much appreciated! The best way to thank them is still by play testing the betas yourself :D
KeyCat 131 Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) Thinking a bit more about that long range bullet impact problem I wonder if it's set/balanced to ~500 m due to performance issues? If thats the case maybe a new setting in server.cfg could be a possible solution? But it's probably not that easy... just thinking out loud ;) /KC Edited November 17, 2011 by KeyCat

From what I have read this can be a bit more involved with betas. Am I wrong about this?
Alwarren 2767 Posted November 17, 2011 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/26419 We found that AI outside of the normal map boundaries start to crawl as if they are seeing a wall or other obstacle. I believe it is related to an earlier issue but I created a new ticket because I am not 100% sure. Repro mission attached. No interaction required, just launch and observe AI behavior. Can anyone reproduce this?
