The forums make ugly!

Well, that are the prejudices against us gamers...

But here`s your chance to show that they are all wrong!!!

Tell the world what sports you do in real life.

I do running, mountainbiking and inlineskating. Before that I shot all kinds of pistols and played soccer with friends from time to time. I also did some martial arts (aikido, hapkido) .

Here are some times:

My personal record is 10 kilometers in 46:12 minutes.

But normally I run them in 50 +/- 2minutes .    smile.gif

running and swimming and diving.

I was a little lazy during the winter, but now I am starting to get into shape again. This morning I ran 10 km in 48 minutes, but I'll do better after some more training.

If that isnt a sport than what? What requires this amount of skill, muscles, flexibility and lungs? And just when you become a Pro you are already getting to old and a body-part will refuse to cooperate!! biggrin.gif

LOL @ Fubar, was that really necessary? biggrin.gif

I mountain/street bike alot. There are alot of long and isolated but paved country roads near my house, so I do alot of cycling in the summer. Usually a 30k ride twice a week, I like to ride at night, it's cooler, the stars look nice, and there are no cars.

I also do alot of air rifle/pistol shooting. I have a range in my basement.

Oh, and being in the Army Reserves, I do alot of marching/running. I did a 20km march last Saturday.

I have a gorgous bicycle which I put to use many times a week, usually in early evenings. I don't drive home before my legs are in serious pain. I also do weights/gym at home every other day, but not like "I wanna be a testosterone brick" more like "I wanna feel and look healthy".

I have never done any running in my life until a month ago when I decided to get in shape.

The first run was like Homer in that episode where Marge joins the police smile.gif

Gradually I've been increasing the distance, and I'm getting into the habit, and getting a sense of what it feels like.

I love the achievement of going a step further, or feeling a bit better than the week before.

And I'm beginning to understand that my barriers are motsly mental at this point.

I'm running 3 times a week now, and I'm up to about 5 km in 25 minutes.

Is that decent?

I don't know the exact distance, but following maps of the area it appears to be about 5.

Maybe I should get one of those fancy digital watches biggrin.gif
