Crash to desktop when joining a game

My game keeps crashing after i join a game in multiplayer, i can get into the game's lobby fine and talk to everyone while i select my role but after i hit ok and the game loads and it sits there for a little bit then crashes. What's the problem??

Some firewalls will pop up a request to access the network / Internet in the background. It may conflict with the game. Is this the case for you? You can try manually allowing the game's EXE access.

If your Windows firewall is enabled, try disabling it. (Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> "Turn Windows Firewall on or off")

U can check all 4 attempts I've made joining a existing mp game have ended in a crash on load screen

We had one guy last night who got CTD'd everytime he tried to join. It just got too late yesterday to be bothered with 'tracking the issue' and anyway, the offended pilot was already heading for bed by that time.

We may have tracked this down to the respawn as Steven Seagull system. Has anyone been successfully commandeering a bird yet? Is somebody able to set up a scenario with this type of respawning, to see if it crashes also in that case?

Edit: The seagull crashes the game. Also the sound made when crashing, the cringing metal type-one, is playing on repeat.

Also crahes for me in different situations. When joining but not always and during game.

BUT ! Lot of fun the 10 mins I had :yay:

Me too! It's a very promising concept. Once the bugs get worked out, it's going to be a lot of fun.

Unfortunately crashed for me all time when joining. There`s only one locked server and from time to time there are another one`s but I´m still crashing. Hopefully we get a new beta soon.

Is there any way of providing crashlogs? I've found that the game crashes constantly after ~10 min of gameplay in MP. This happends when i'm AFK on the ground, in a vehicle piloting/driving or in a vehicle while riding in back. Does not matter if i host or join a game.

Ok so after much frustration and fun oddly enough.... last night playing this game in multiplayer i've noticed some trends with the crashing. So i started off joining someone elses server, everytime someone new joins the game CTD, everytime we use the release contro/take control option between pilot/co pilot CTD, everytime we leave the base and someone from my chopper get out, or if i'm on someone else's chopper get out we loose connection and CTD. Then another thing started happening all of a sudden, after so many CTD and i rejoin the game i started not being able to the start up the chopper.... any of them. I tried doing it manually and using the auto engine start feature to no avail. Sometimes the host has to restart the server and that might help, but i also noticed sometimes even after 3 restarts i still can't start engine. Then i suggested maybe i should host, so i booted up my own server with a different map, and guess what... Now the other guys can't start their engine, but after a couple of map restarts everything seems to be working fine. Then there was this a couple of guys that had trouble with constantly CTD with 4 other guys were able to stay connected and fly with the rest of us. Please do what you can to fix these BiS cuz this game is so fun even in the beta stages! Oh and of course fix the oddities with the FM too, we can't forget about that now can we?
