Worse 'A2' performance in CO ?

I have A2 and OA combined into CO. I have noticed significantly worse performance using CO (Chernarus) than with A2 alone. I recall this was an issue upon OA's release. I haven't played ARMA for ages. :)

ok..

Well, I know rendering in CO has some graphical advantages aka more lag.. so could be true.. because OA is off course updating everything.. just make sure you set your settings accordingly..

Try some other maps, Chenarus is a huge map, and theres alot to render, foliage ect,.

But it all depends on your settings too, as well as what your doing ingame and where.

I have to confirm this. After some extensive testing it deems me that Chernarus rusn better in A2 engine compared to OA engine +in A2 egine all A2 units work as it should, in OA some A2 unit features are still broken. In A2 the unbreakble glass in HMMWV is gone too and Lightsources work again. Something in OA engine brings a lot of issues to A2 maps and units.

open up Arma2OA.cfg and change AToC=7 to a lesser number (or zero for 'off')

again...has anyone with the same problem as the OP tried changing their AtoC settings???

What? Are you trolling...that´s unbelievable.

If you´re playin A2 content in CO engine performance is significantly worse than played in A2 engine.

I thought that was mainly because of the additional postp. effects for OA (like SSAO etc) which are applied to A2 engine even if they have no effect on A2 content.

(I haven´t tested with postprocessing completely off, yet)
