aart112 12 Posted May 26, 2011 we all know every player would love to see its own nation's militairy force in arma. i think bohemia should have made an expansion pack a long time ago introducing units from multiple nations and army's since they figured whe would rather use hired guns (mercs) they made the private militia expension. yes i know the community makes allot of great mods. but in terms of modeling theres only so much you can change to the infantry units. (unlike the vehicles dear lord so many great looking vehicles have been made) now wouldnt it be a great first expansion for arma 3 to add perhaps 1 island and about 5 to 10 nations from around the world. im thinking japan or china france finland the IDF (we alrdy got the merkava anyway :D) germany the netherlands canada africa zweden australia 1 giant pack with units vehicles and aircrafts. no need for any singleplayer content or missions the arma crowd has proven capable of that on its own. and what makes it more interresting is that its set in the near future thus bohemia would really have to research all the nations armys and fit it in their universe. Ummmm I'm not sure what commonwealth you are talking about, but out that list above, only two of those countries are in the commonwealth. Plus The IDF, Zweden and Africa aren't countries... zooloo75 834 Posted May 27, 2011 How about we wait for ArmA3 to release before we start talking about DLCs? Also, that's ALOT of work to create all those factions. You don't just make a new faction name, and slap a bunch of units in there with a different camo; You have to research upon the armies and be accurate on many aspects. That seems to miss the point on purpose. Thats not very nice. Afaik 'commonwealth' can be used to refer to other state coalitions, not just "the" british commonwealth. I think it is obvious this is what the OP was talking about. Also, you may be right about the countries, but again it seems obvious what the OP was talking about. He wants units from different nationalities in the game. If you were not provoking, and really just missed the point, I'll make it clear. The OP wants IDF units in game (representing Israel). Second, he wants Swedish troops - yeah he spelled it wrong, so what. I'm sure most people understood what he was talking about. Finally, he wants african troops. Africa may not be a country, but I assume he was talking about African Union troops. IMO that makes perfect sense. To the OP: I think that this is a bit too much work for something that the community have allready done. It would be really cool, but I think it is a bit over the top, so I'm not really in favour.
