dysta 10 Posted June 16, 2011 For the inexperienced left-hand shooting, it may possible cause several twitches when holding a weapon, especially the rifle.
4 IN 1 0 Posted June 16, 2011 But a special force officer isn't someone who you would call "inexperienced" isn't it?

Colossus 2 Posted June 16, 2011 (edited) I'm left-handed, but seeing that I'm only used to the right-hand mouse I personally don't see the need for this. I do understand that it might cause some confusion and annoyances if a left-hand mouse user plays a game where the weapon is in the right-hand and vice versa. That being said, this only effects a small portion of people. Which makes me wonder how much time and effort they need to spend satisfy a small minority. Some might be like me and use a right-hand mouse, rendering this a pointless feature to them as well. Edited June 16, 2011 by colossus typo
onlyrazor 11 Posted June 16, 2011 Fix'd. :p This is like a meme. Well, more of an in-joke. Also, I'm ambidextrous(ish), and while I've never really fired a gun, I always imagine it as a left-handed deal. I tried switching to the left side in CS, but it didn't really feel right. Derbysieger 11 Posted June 16, 2011 It's not a feature I would consider very important. More like a nice to have. There are other features that are way more needed than this. I'm left-handed, but seeing that I'm only used to the right-hand mouse I personally don't see the need for this. I do understand that it might cause some confusion and annoyances if a left-hand mouse user plays a game where the weapon is in the right-hand and vice versa. Some might be like me and use a right-hand mouse, rendering this a pointless features to them as well. You know I'm left-handed too and I also use the mouse only with the right hand. It's usually on the right side so I just adapted and when I got my first computer I was so used to the mouse beeing on right side that I didn't change it. Deadfast 43 Posted June 16, 2011 Left handed shooters are tolerated in the UK military I know that. Of course they are, everybody has fire the SA80 right-handed anyway ;)

KEVINMGXP 20 Posted June 17, 2011 (edited) Splinter Cell had a feature where you could switch handedness in the middle of the game. correction, you can not switch the gun from right hand to left hand in mid game of splinter cell, you however can switch from left view to right view angle on gun point the gun stays right handed all the time ;-) Edited June 17, 2011 by KBourne Gramma correction
Deadfast 43 Posted June 17, 2011 (edited) Pfft, when I joined it was the SLR :D Lucky you, this time around one would end up with the cocking handle embedded in his cheek ;) Speaking of which, how would bullpup weapons be handled with this system if there were any? The SA80 cannot be fired left-handed at all, most ambidextrous bullpups have to be disassembled to switch the ejection port around and probably won't be symmetrical so you can't just switch the model around. No offense to the lefties but this seems to be a more complex issue than it would initially seem. Edited June 17, 2011 by Deadfast
4 IN 1 0 Posted June 17, 2011 You can hold the weapon with such a way that ejection port is not directly up in front of your face It will greatly affect your aim, give you the chicken wing grip and are a little bit awkward when doing so through.
