Thanks for the good comments.. The plane flys quiet well and I have taken off and landed at Everon main airport without problems.  Im not the best skinner.. (still learning)  this big plane is a big project.  I never imagined it would have been so much work

I dont think the RAF had Hercules in the Falklands Conflict, and if they did they didnt have sidewinders. Because there is no room for a weapons systems operator on board.

The British only used chinnoks and helicopters to transport the troops and Vulcans and Harriers to attack.

I have been on a few hercs before adn that one looks dapper  <span id='postcolor'>

they did. Notice the refuelling probe that seems to be unique to the RAF? THe original conversions were done in a matter of hours so that the Hercs could make it that far. Staging from Ascension Island, they paradropped pallettes until an airstrip became available. But I don't think they ever carried Sidewinders.

Thanks for the info. I wasnt too sure about the falklands.

But i was sure that they didnt carry sidewinders, the C-130J has not got the probe on it, and they can actually swap the probe to either side

ure right and wrong about the sidwinders. they do carry them NOW they didnt back in the falklands and sh*t like that but they are recent addons. but for the likes of flashpint being a war game they really should have them becuase its a big thing and will get shot down easily with out the weapons

You're missing the point, Mr. P.

The 'winders WERE put on Nimrods so they could HUNT Argie recon aircraft. Putting them on Hercs could have made a knid of sense, eg:

Scenario:Argie recon flying out into the South Atlantic comes across RAF Hercules bound for the Falklands. pulls up alongside to swap rude gestures while it radios Ground Forces to warm up SAMS for incoming.

Alternate scenario: Argie recon flying out into the South Atlantic comes across RAF Hercules bound for the Falklands.

Runs into Aviation's second best way to say "Sod Off" before it can get out a message.

But they were'nt used like that, AFAIK.

The Hercules of the Royal Air Force do not carry weapons at all, otherwise they would have a WSOp on board and they do not, and as from October will be on the UKMAMS unit at Lyneham so i am definate about that

I have the cargo area some what build but need lots of internal cargo bay pictures.

Mr. A, this site here, has some very detailed info on the C130, including photos of the cargo bay taken from fore and aft in para config; that is totally covered in seats. I sourced it for my own attempt, but you are closer. Hope you can use it.

Couldn't retrace my steps all the way, but this is definitely the place to look. The images are offsets, but they were enough to give me a few ideas.

I made my first airdrop from the C130 in a mission.. yahoo..

the only casualty was one of the paratrooper got tangled in his chute.

I think the C130 so far can carry about 45 people.. I haven't placed the internal row of seats in .. I'm still deciding if I should. Its very playable now.. I just need to start adding details.. and a few function changes.. and I think it will be ready.

I have one beta tester and he is also giving me some feed back.. ( i only need 1 tester for now, for all those that were wondering )

I think maybe a few weeks and it might be rdy for release.. (depends on my work load) Ive spend many months of it so far.. so a few weeks should be to long (i hope)

holy shit thats alot of troops in there, how much on a percentage scale is the C-130 finished? 80%? 75% 62%? is it possible that it can hold jeeps, trucks, ant tanks? and when you finish the model, will you make custom paratroopers? maybe custom C-130 pilots? cant wait for it
