Why doesn't rain show up??

I've never seen it rain when playing ARMA2 / CO. I'm not sure if I'm missing a setting or something? I hear it, it looks stormy, but never rains....

I have a pretty good system and GTX460 vid card.

Also, what are the Enviro Modules??

Hey Meade95,

First I would like to point out, that your thread should have been posted under 'ArmA 2 & OA: Troubleshooting' section, instead of 'ArmA 2 & OA General' like you have done now.

Secondly: What ingame setting do you apply? Default (all advanced selections on normal.)?

I myself have a Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX/GTX+ for graphic card, and at my screen it shows up under all settings I normally prefer to use. (normal and above to very high.)

My advice to you, is check your ingame video-options, and play around with it a bit, and see if it helps. It can't be your graphic card, but to be sure, download the latest driver for it, and you should be good to go.

Final: Do you run a patched/updated game, or non-patched/updated. If updated: Which version do you run?

Sounds like you testing in the editor. Overcast must be > 0.7 for rain.

Try this:

If that doesn't work, it's really a graphical issue.

I find when i disable PP no rain shows even though i can hear it, setting it to very low made it appear. Do you have PP disabled by any chance?

I reckon the sound effect for rain is just right.

And the graphic is good too.

I note that when I am indoors I can still see some rain hit the floor!
