Sahrani Rearmed

i wish man. i wish so much that this mod was good. i love arma 1 for how different and cool it was, but the engine is so fucked there is just no return. i try to play it sometimes but i always die when i reload and then i cant move or cancel the animation. i saw this mod and i prayed that it would be good. god damn. no icons for anything in the editor so everything is invisible. 1/2 of the units in my squad speak russian, the other half english. errors all over the place on every single unit and object i try to place. what did i expect? if only this shit worked and was like arma 1 it would be great, one of the most satisfying mods, but unfortunately it sucks dick.

I strongly recommend using Arma Rearmed 2 (AR2) mod, which requires most of Sahrani Rearmed (SR), and includes special configs for compatibility with other Arma 1-derived content, like CAA1 mod, so that the 3 ported Arma 1 campaigns will work.

Using AR2 1.4.1, you can play with most SR units on Sahrani, Porto, and Rahmadi in the A2CO editor.

I strongly recommend using Arma Rearmed 2 mod, which includes most of Sahrani Rearmed (SR), and has many bugs fixed.

I wouldn't recommend playing the campaigns using version 1.3 which has bugs related to latest versions of SR units. Version 1.4 will come out soon, so wait just a bit more, and I'm sure you will be happy. SHJ-Studio is repacking all required mods into a massive mod pack with modified configs and other changes to fix bugs in order to make the 3 campaigns work.

Using a beta version of 1.4 with all the required mods downloaded individually, I have no problem using 95% of all SR units on Sahrani, Porto, and Rahmadi in the A2CO editor.

Do you think there's any chance that a coop version will ever be released? IIRC the original was coop right?

Not sure about coop version. I never played original, so I don't know if it was coop-compatible. I played all 3 AR2 campaigns in SP, and they were AWESOME. They will be even better in 1.4 version which has bugs fixed and original mercenaries in Queen's Gambit.

OK I might be wrong about the original campaign being coop but Outlawz7 did released an coop version of the campaign 18 months ago:

Although I haven't played through all of, the first couple of missions seemed great.

Maybe his code might provide you with some clues on integrating coop support?

If not, no worries. It'd be great to return to Sahrani, particularly for the QG expansion

I don't know with language are you chosen? I also haven't these described bugs. I only know that the player sometimes speaks another languages than his squad. The reason is that the engine only have his own radio speeches (english/russian/czech/arabian) inside. My wish was to have a spanish radio sentences. I always have icons and text in the editor and game. It's the original stringtable of A1
