wow, that bridge is a work of art, I cant wait to hi jack the bus then drive it over the bridge full of pasengers.

I read in PC gamer UK something about it being possible to blow it up wink.gif ( I would wirte it word for word but I would have to go upstairs to do that tounge.gif )

Also they said something about more use of the buildings which will be better

Anyone notice something new on the Action menu?

Not entirely new, really, but hopefully the "Drop" command will always be available without having to add the command to the menu in a script, or without having to pick up a different weapon in its place.

Nope that is not a lase rsight, it's a red dot sight. It basically projects a red dot inside the scope and doesn't emit anything.

A laser projects a dot on the target.

Will all those features found in Resistance also be updated into Cold War Crisis??

Then we can have the good graphics and viewdistance and sun reflections in Cold War Crisis.

And then, will we have 2 different mission editors, or will the current mission editor be updated to handle things from both Cold War Crisis and Resistence?

BIS has already mentioned that new graphics cannot be applied to older islands.

but if they changed exe file, i think features like 'DROP Weapn' can also be used in original.

Maruk bear my children! that looks sweet! now all we need is walker's wetsuit to set some satchels and blow up a convoy, a lot easier than shooting everyone and hoping the convoy don't notice.

everytime they put in something cool we want to blow it up biggrin.gif

as for the drop weapon, i hope it actually drops it instead of just removing it, like create an invisible 1x1 object that has it so it shows up as just the gun, but i wonder how the magazines will be done that way.

either way, at least it will be more silent to get rid of a hand grenade to pick up a LAW instead of having to throw it and hope nobody notices. i've done that before and it landed right on 2's face who was over the hill sad.gif

Obviously they can. Just run the mptest on an old island and you will see that you get the improved graphics. What we can't get directly are new tree models and other improved objects that are hardcoded into the maps.

Maybe I'm seeing something that isn't there, but it looks like that bridge spans a river - the glare of the water continues off to the right of the picture behind the tree. Or maybe it's just another, smaller island.

A river would be cool, though.

yes that's water

it looks like the bridge is right next to the ocean, so a sea level river would be plausable, which technically it isn't really a river, but ocean.

Excellant!! It maybe be a bay or joining to a smaller Island.. I guess I will find out when my order arrives in Jun/Jul. I noticed an excellant spot for a bridge in the Original OFP.. On the Island a Malden at Grid Ref 53-Gc to 53-Fg. Saves travel time from base to Houdan to do shopping biggrin.gif . I just wish I could make a model of one to place there.

So once you install Resistance, will "cold war crisis" automatically be improved, or will we have to download a patch to do that?

Also, once you install Resistence, will we automatically get the better net code, or will we still have to download that from the internet?

Actually, I think the models for the trees are separate from the maps. The locations of objects are in the map, but not the objects models themselves.

Thus, the more detailed trees etc. should be on the old islands.
