mattchicago 10 Posted February 23, 2011 Hello well i downloaded this mod called fallujah1_1 from reading about it seems nice but when i use steam to load up my Arma2 Arrowhead it said fallujah1_1 requires addon Utes (not sure what that is) so if one of you can so kindly point me in the right direction that would be great. I had installed the mod to the steam > steamapps > common > arma 2 operation arrowhead > fallujah1_1 but when i load up the game in steam it says that error message. W0lle 1050 Posted February 23, 2011 Utes is an Island in ArmA2, and the readme for that addon says that Arma 2 ver. 1.7 or later / Arma 2 Combined Operations 1.52 or later are required to use the Terrain. MissionCreep 12 Posted February 23, 2011 Hi .... Utes is an official island in the original Arma 2 (not the standalone OA - Operation Arrowhead). You need to buy Arma2 to get it. Arma2 Combined Ops would be the way to go, as it is Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead bundled into one. You can install Arma 2 with OA to get the same net result, but you will need to read the appropriate thread for doing this with Steam (I personally would have recommended Sprocket as a downloadable option). mattchicago 10 Posted February 23, 2011 i am confused when i press start on steam it says launch arma2 arrowhead or launch arma2 combined arms and also i just bought the 2 expansions for arrowhead so i still do not know what the problem is since i got everything required it seems like. mattchicago 10 Posted February 23, 2011 It just seems depressing is all that you read Arma2 on the map requirements and i think i have Arma2 since well it says Arma2 Arrowhead and also Arma2 Combined Arms yet you still cannot play the map since it requires another part of a game its sort of confusing in some aspects getting addons since it should be more specific to what "version" like Arma2 "armed assault 2" or Arma2 "Arrowhead" or Arma2 "British armed forces" or Arma2 "Private Military Company" just putting Arma2 is pretty "broad" i guess. W0lle 1050 Posted February 23, 2011 If you have Combined Operations, then you have also ArmA2... Run CO and go in your mission editor and see if you can select Chernarus or Utes terrain. If not then you don't run CO but only Operation Arrowhead. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mattchicago 10 Posted February 23, 2011 Now i am really confused i actually am on the Fallujah map now i loaded up the other game instead like you said and went to singleplayer then i went to armory and it lists the map there. Its OK to do that, as long as you keep a log of what files you put in so you can take them out without deleting game files. The primary method is the @blabla/Addons/put pbos here, and then adding the @blabla folder to the shortcut via -mod in the shortcut. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

galzohar 31 Posted February 24, 2011 Yoma's Addon Sync and the Arma launcher I linked both work exactly the same for steam and non-steam versions of the game, and are all you need to get those mods running. Heck you don't even need Yoma's Addon Sync if you download mods from Armaholic, as long as you're good enough to realize where the game folder is inside the steam folder (which is really the only thing that is more difficult than with the disc version).
