MOD question - how to see f22 or f16 in editor

Recommended Posts

regarding editor,, i use steam and have arrowhead on steam. no arma2. i made a mod folder in mydocuments\armaaddons

inside there i have the folders:

@myaddons (contains an addon folder etc)

@CBA_OA --------II---------

@CBA ---------II---------

in the steam shortcut launch options i put:

-mod=C:\Users\lars\Documents\armamods\@CBA_OA;@CBA;@MyAddons

in @myaddons\addons -i have the missilepack, and f22,f16 etc

when game runs i see text on meny, top right "CBA_OA"

so i guess ive done something right,.. i also see the three @-folders in "expansion" on the menu

QUESTION IS:

how do i get f16 or f22 in the editor? cant find it under opfor or empty

-some help would be great, love this game

I think the those planes are BLUFOR. Look deeper, and spend more time lookin' for em'. Aaand... why didn't you ask in the plane's release thread? Maybe they got some info ;)

in @myaddons\addons -i have the missilepack, and f22,f16 etc

in the folder @myaddons\Addons you should have only the .pbo files, and no other folder, or the game would not read from those.

-mod=
 C:\Users\lars\Documents\armamods\@CBA_OA;
 C:\Users\lars\Documents\armamods\@CBA;
 C:\Users\lars\Documents\armamods\@MyAddons

I just splitted it on new lines for better readability.

If you don't have the folders in your ArmA 2 directory you need to provide the full path for each modfolder.

Only modfolders that are in the ArmA 2 directory don't need full path,

ok,,, what i did now was putting different order in the shortcut:

@MyAddons;@CBA_OA;@CBA putting @myaddons first, then i get some files missing errors etc,missing eventhandlers, - THEN i find the planes in the editor

hm would be nice without those errors,,ah im so noob

you have to load CBA and CBA_OA first, then anything else.

:EDITH:

Also do not doublepost. As long no one else has posted after your last post, use the edit.gif-button to edit your post instead.

:EDITH again:

Ah, i see the forum merged your posts automatically. Anyway, still remains valid: edit instead of doublepost. ;)

Not familiar with this mod... but why are you loading CBA and CBA_OA?

CBA = ARMA + (Optional - ARROWHEAD (combined operations))

CBA_OA = ARROWHEAD ONLY

You load one of the distributions... not both. If you have ARMA2 only you should be using @CBA, if you're running combined operations, again @CBA only. You only run CBA_OA if you are using arrowhead as a standalone game.

Yes, you are rigjt

hm ok, i read somewhere that if u had oa stanmdalone and not arma2 then u needed the cba aswell,, hm

Here

CBA: Community Base Addons

==========================

Online wiki at http://dev-heaven.net/wiki/cca/

Online function library reference at http://dev-heaven.net/docs/cba/

What do I need?

===============

* You should always install the @CBA mod folder by copying it to your ArmA II installation

folder.

* If you have a "merged", Combined Operations installation with both the old ArmA II

content and the new Arrowhead expansion, you're done - you only need the @CBA mod folder.

* If you have a standalone Operation Arrowhead installation, you need both the @CBA

and the @CBA_OA folders loaded.

* If you only have the older ArmA II installed, you need both the @CBA and the

@CBA_A2 folders loaded.

Example startup parameters

==========================

For Combined Operations (ArmA II and Arrowhead installed together):

-mod=@CBA

For a standalone Operation Arrowhead:

-mod=@CBA;@CBA_OA

For ArmA II only (people without Arrowhead):

-mod=@CBA;@CBA_A2

You only need both @CBA and @CBA_OA for OA Standalone and @CBA only for Combine Operations.

Please ensure you put @CBA;@CBA_OA in order (To load CBA first then CBA_OA)

Is the addons folder inside your @F16 (etc.) Folder(s) spelled "Addons"? If the A isn't capitalized arma doesn't seem to accept it.

Bollocks, works fine either way u spell it.

Edit: just double checked, even @CBA has "addons" while @CSLA has "Addons" and both work fine

Well, I've had mods loaded in the past that didn't boot because of that. It's possible there was something else interfering, but once I closed the game, capitalized the "A", and booted it back up again, they would work.

*Edit* I've also known others who had the same issue.
