Exactly how frequent is the bad language in Arma 2?

Saw videos for Arma 2, but didn't hear anything bad.

Thats in the game and they use the word fuck and other words pretty much I would say, but does the language really matter in a game where you kill people.

Or how often do we look under the skirt of that special women model while we play missions ;)

Its just words, dont let that ruin you fun.

And if you play as russians or takis you will not understand what they are saying :)

You can hear almost everything through my headphones, + my computer is set up near the living room.

Just lower the volume, and most of the bad word are said when people get hit, so the people near you will just hear alot of gunfire.

Ian560,

You took the time to sign up on the forums to ask about language in a game you already previewed. You have internet access ? You play PC Games ? On-line games ? You had to ask hows the language - sounds like you have other motives ?

Seems you would have checked the rating for the game before posting to the forums. Just strange.

Wow

To answer TOP, bad language is infrequent but it's definitely there. More significant is that the themes in the campaigns are fairly mature, and involve discussions about mass murder, torture, terrorism, lynching, etc that happened off screen. You definitely want to pay attention to the M rating.

Dont forget all the drug farms in Takistan! Revolting ! :D Ingame there is almost no bad language but in the Great ACE Mod there is alot more "real world" samples where soldiers sometimes express there disappointment by swearing, but hey like Max_Power said it's a simulator and it's good at representing how people act. And the sounds in A2 are so loud that the speaker volume will not have to go that high, or simply just lower the "inagme voice" slider in the volume options.

That's not normally something you would see unless you were rolling around on the ground looking. I assume that TOP is not a pervert and would not be peeking up the skirts of women or shooting them, then peeking up the skirts of their lifeless bodies with children present.

I dont get it, killing human beings virtuell and afraid about some f* words ?

The eff words are real, the killing is not. I don't think you can teach a child bad habits by playing a wargame near them. Gunshot and explosion sound effects are not anything to worry about in themselves... but you can teach children bad habits by playing an unceasing litany of curse words in the background.

He just said he's 13 guys give him a break, sounds like a good kid. It says Mature 17+ on the back of the box and I don't think I would let my kid play it until he was of the proper age. Wait a few more years and you will probably get your hands on ArmA 3 :yay:when your old enough.

And the game has an M ESRB rating (17+). I presume that you're not scared about the language but it's more a parental problem.

Besides that, we had that discussion several times in the past. If f*** is a problem for you, then this might be not the right game for you.
