celery 8 Posted January 2, 2011 Could BIS or someone skilled with such things provide us with the texture/foreground that is used to give the flags in the game that fabric, "flaggy" appearance? The white flag would probably be a good place to start reverse engineering but I'm not that good at photoshop. :)
W0lle 1052 Posted January 2, 2011 I asked for that a while back, twice already and it was ignored. However we at CWR have a decent flag template now we may share. Just need to check with the guy who made it first.
[frl]myke 15 Posted January 2, 2011 Don't know if this is good enough for you, you might have to experiment with layer transparency: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9367994/flag_template.7z OpenSource, use it and spread it if you find it useful.

Thanks, I was looking for something like this for ages, just in time too I'm gonna use it to make flags for the intro of my island.
celery 8 Posted January 23, 2011 Could anyone with skill make a texture or transparent foreground layer out of this? It's the white flag from OA.
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted January 23, 2011 Could anyone with skill make a texture or transparent foreground layer out of this? It's the white flag from OA. You said you've got photoshop right? Just resize your flag image to 512*256 (ctrl+alt+i), copy and paste this white flag texture on top of it then in the layers window, change the layer blend from normal to multiply (using the drop-down menu to the left of the opacity slider). You can then adjust the opacity of the white flag overlay and 'image\adjustments\brightness & contrast' or 'levels' (ctrl+L) to adjust the colours back to normal. Par example: Personally though; I use this tutorial: http://www.hesido.com/base.php?page=tutorials⊂=wavingflag and crop the wavy edges from around the flag texture (better results if you start with a flag image larger than 512*256, then scale it down for ArmA 2).
