Woodland Bradleys, how to?

The latest 1.57 patch has this in its readme:

Add: camo (replaceable textures) selections for M2A2/3.

How is this done in editor?

Someone already made a woodland M113 Addon just using this without any modded data. So how is it done with the Bradleys?

use this:

this setobjecttexture [0,"mypic.jpg"]

create a camo or use a photo (never tried it with photo)

and save it as a .jpg file in you mission file.( I always use paint )

then place the code in the init field of the unit.

the 0 is the surface of the vehicle. leave the "" in the code.

this should work for most of the vehicles.

Actually the textures are already supposed to be in the pbos. After a quick search yesterday i couldnt find anything relating to woodland textures tho.

Throwing my hat in on this one. It sounds like a great addition for woodland maps, but we need more info! Where do we find the textures?

Yeah I'm wondering where these camos are located... why couldn't they just give us the texture names. Otherwise there's no point to even telling us they are in there because we can't find them.

Erm, you know that this means that the model is simply equipped with hiddenselections which allows simple retexturing either by setObjectTexture in scripts or by using hiddenSelectionsTextures in a retex config?

It doesn't mean that other textures are available so far. But now retextures are possible without hexediting the original model.

...so it would be easy for someone to retexture the BIS models now? Could they just create an addon that lets you use the original desert M2 and change it's color with 1 init line?

I really want a green woodland Bradley and Stryker.

someone could create an addon that wouldnt even require 1 line in init.

Make the camo,

Make the config,

Pack,

Release

Done

Quick & dirty, not meant as "ready-to-use" but as a quick template. It took me less than 1 hour to make this, including searching for all the required files and no, i'm not a top-notch addonmaker.

What surely needs to be done with this:

- improve texture, was quickly recolored based on the desert texture

- assign to the proper faction and related to this...

- adjust the crewmember classes

- and finally, remove/replace all GLT_ tags with own, sign it and release it.

Lads, i expect to see proper green M2 pack released within one week. I don't even expect to be credited if this helps to get your a$$ lifted and do some work :D

I found ION C130 textures PAA file. How I can Use it
