Listening to curses, violent language and topics can easily affect your brain if you listen to it on a daily basis.<span id='postcolor'>

So you advocate a ban of violent computer games and movies?

Ok, lets see............First off, i'd ask for an M240b, not an M-16, and my targets would be in this order:

1. N'sync

2. The backstreet boys

3. take 5

4. 98 degrees

5. the kumbya kings

6. New kids on the block

7. ricky martin

8. Since i cant think of any more specifics, i'll just say any and all boy bands that i find after the first 8 have been dealt with.

9. That little sonofabitch that played Anikan Skywalker in Star Wars Episode 1

............I guess that covers it all *Looks suspicious* .....I'll most likely find others along the way

Absolute rubbish, mate.

I have been listening to old school gangsta rap since the age of 12, stuff like NWA, Westside Connection, Wu Tang, and all that really hardcore stuff. I am 21 now and I am a rather succusful uni (college for u i guess) student, still listening to it, still not one murder committed.

Don't tell me about rap effects on kids, 'cos I'm perfectly normal. Don't say I'm the minority, every single kid I know here (here=Europe) that has been listening to this sort of music is absolutely fine.

What ever happened to the good old days of the 60s and 70s when music was able to have a powerful effect on people without having to resort to colorful language all the time. (O.K. so i wasn't alive then but I listen to the music)

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against any type of music, but why do so many artists insist on using bad language so much? Is there really a need for so much of it in music?

BTW, I'd like to take David Beckham out into the middle of a football field and do his knees in this a Mk24, then we'll see how well he 'plays'.

I have to agree with Advocatxxx whole heartedly.

I cannot stand rap,hip-hop or any of that that degrades society.

People go around talkiing about living in some disgusting ghetto.

It's disgusting, and degrading to normal decent people who must tolerate that kind of crap.

I'm sorry, but I grew up listening to quality music such as Pink Floyd, Hendrix, the Beatles, Grateful dead.

Now you have all these damn stupid kids running around wearing FUBU shirts pretending to be "gangstas" as they call them.

It's disgusting.

I have been Anti-Rap/hip-hop or any of that putrid music that seems to be all about life is some slum.

I'm sorry if this is offencing to anyone. But I grew up in a good decent neighborhood where decent people lived.

This sort of thing that is spreading all over the nation should be stopped.

I can't stand that I cannot go out somewhere without hearing some cRAP music or someone speaking in this "ebonics" slang.

It's disgusting. I feel like walking up to them, yelling at them to get some good normal clothing. And learn to speak correctly.

Damn! You guys haven't even named any good ones yet except for maybe Carrot Top. F%$k the rappers, they will kill each other before you ever get to them. I like rap, but I hate the personna and lifestyle. I just like good beats and rhymes.

My hit list:

1. Rosie O'Donnel

2. Julia Roberts

3. Warren Beatty

4. Hell, let's just nuke Hollwood!

other non-Hollywood figures I could live without.

1. Diane Feinstien (D, California)

2. Al Gore

3. Tipper Gore (Totalitarian bitch)

4. Oprah Winfrey

5. Janet Reno: I qoute, "If the Constitution bleeds, we can kill it."

The above are anti-gun liberal democrats who are using thier fame to destroy the U.S. constitution.

I CANNOT STAND Tom Green and that Dell computer kid.

EVERYTIME I SEE ONE OF THEM MY Blood pressure goes way up.

I hope that one day society realizes what morons they are and they both wind up living in a carboard box with no clothes sleeping in their own feces while trying to figure out what went wrong.

No, the majority of Americans are Conservative. The democratic party is full of people that are ignorant or just don't give a fuck. They are lead by those on the far left.

For some reason people seem to think: Liberal = Open Minded.

Gwhahahahahaha!

You'd be surprised how many Democrats have no idea what thier party ideals and philosphies are. When you inform them of the true objectives, they narrow thier eyes at you and call you a liar.

A basic profile for the bi-partisian system. All other parties are too small to have any bearing.

Democrat: Socially Liberal

Politically Conservative (As in preserving the existing FDR type large federal government with lots of socialist agendas.)

Republican: Socially Conservative

Politically Liberal (As in trying to reform the current government back to a more constitutionally based one.)

Gore won the popular vote, so that statement is questionable.

As for the democrats being far left: most European right wing parties are more left then your democrats.

If you havn't noticed even the republicans are learning that not everything is solved optimally by a medieval form of capitalism. There are some basic services that the government is supposed to provide. You have to have a basic safety net for the citizens in the form of social security, hospitals, police, etc. I reckon that within 20 years US will catch up with Europe on that.

The 1st amendment is there just to defend such statements. One of the major points of your constitution is to make it possible to influence the goverment if it isnt functioning. I think that many people miss that point. The constitution should not be considered a holy cow, but a permanent work in progress that can always be improved.

Medieval Capitalism? Oh and Socialism is so shiek and smart. Too bad humans are too greedy and ambitious for such a system to work. Socialism is just a guise for totalitarian governments.

A statement that is also questionable within itself. Go on the street and ask someone why the voted for Gore. Most likely you will get a stupid response like: " Well, Gore is better looking."

Once again you miss the point. I don't worship the constitution, I protect it from ultra-liberal fanatics as well as ultra-Conservative anarchists. Yes the contitution is flexible, and will be changed over time, but the basic rights set forth I believe should not be infringed upon. If they had used a period instead of a comma in the second amendment, gun control activists would have no argument.

I am not advocating a socialist rule. I am just suggesting a more moderate capitalism like the one found in Western Europe today.

Btw. Sweden has been under social democrat rule for almost 70 years (with some short breaks ). Would you call us a totalitarian society?

Heh, what a joke. We have about ten or so big parties as opposed to your two. Want to talk democracy? In your country you have about 50% of the people that are registered to vote that vote (and about 50% are registered to vote). That is 25% of the population that is eligible to vote. In Sweden over 90% of the population that is allowed to vote, votes. The fact that the social democrats have remained in power is simply because people think that they are doing a good job (I personally vote for the liberals, but that is just my own opinion). And Sweden has gone in the last 70 years from being a third world country to being one in the top league of GNP/capita.

You say that you are a democracy. Yeah right, where you can buy the president post. What a coincidence that father and son Bush have been elected presidents. That is not democracy, that is a monarchy.

What rights would that be? Carrying guns? We had that 'right' about 300 years ago. Then we started thinking and decided that perhaps it we were better off without. We don't want that 'right'.

Well considering that Sweden is very small compared to the U.S. it is much easier to run a nation of that size. 70 years ago you were a third world country? GFeez it took you reindeer farmers long enough. tounge.gif

Consider this. The U.S. is vast geographically and Ethnically, meaning it is more expensive to spead media and harder to get people to vote. Why? Many people feel so disattached that they don't care. I believe about 90% of registered Republicans vote. Voting is an option, you don;t have to vote. If people are too ignorant or apathetic to vote, well, I don't want them to.

Although I disagree with much that you say, I can say your replies are usually intelligent. This statement is just assenine though. The president is far to resticted in power for him to be a monarch. C'mon! Look at the alternative. Gore is a moron. I'm rather pleased with Bush's performance. Btw America is not a democracy, it's a republic. Again I think we need to agree to disagree Denoir. I will compliment you by saying this. Although I don't agree with your politics, you are one of the most intellectually engaging forum members. You keep me entertained. I'm not arrogant enough to believe that I am right all of the time. That is the thing about politics, since it falls under the category of philosophy there really is no "right".
