Maciek95PL 10 Posted November 28, 2010 I've got such a problem that my microphone is somehow recording sound from my computer, even if I turned off my speakers.Could anyone tell me is it normal and can I change it somehow, so it will record only what it actually "hears"? sparks50 0 Posted November 28, 2010 Which version of Windows do you have? Try disabling Stereo mix in your sound input volume settings.
Maciek95PL 10 Posted November 28, 2010 I've got Windows XP, but disabling Stereo mix worked. Thank you very much!
Variable 322 Posted December 5, 2010 I'm not sure this is related, but when I plug in my headset while ArmA 2 is running the sound will not switch to it, and remain on the speakers. This only happens while I play ArmA 2, in any other game, or while on the desktop, sound will switch automatically to my headset immediately once I pluyg it in. Can someone help me with this? -)rStrangelove 0 Posted December 7, 2010 Try plugging in your headset before you start ArmA2 ?
larsiano 12 Posted December 7, 2010 Try plugging in your headset before you start ArmA2 ? 1+ for you but i think you cant solve this as the same happens with stuf like joysticks and trackIR (also in BF2, etc. this happens). What you can try is to re-detect the new connected device by goin back to option > controls after the device has been plugged in (this works for trackIR activation ingame)
KEVINMGXP 20 Posted December 7, 2010 ok i have a other one that might be related to this post. if i use TS latest version it seems that when i speak in the microphone people tend to hear my ingame sound tanks guns whatever enviorment sounds that is going on at that moment it makes it so that people find this anoying. i tried to figure this out by correcting my sound input volume settings but it still seems not to be working for some reason. i have XP proffecional last servince pack updated, some one cares to test this out with me so i can sove it for once and for all .... regards
larsiano 12 Posted December 7, 2010 Not that its related to this topic but: with voice activation the volume of the speakers might open the mic chanel and this is annoying, you have to use push to talk or lower the speaker volume altogether. (settings >option> capture) <here you can listen to what other people hear so you can test the output sound and mic volume etc.

larsiano 12 Posted December 7, 2010 ah you want to turn up your windows mic volume: > control panel (switch clasic view) find "sounds" > recoding look for the mic and slide it up higher or go "advanced" and turn on "mic boost" and test again in between!
