Map big ones filled with water and some small island so you can take off from your Carrier or something and go on a mission so far my freind made a Battle Frigit. So far its coming along nicely? Not Bob 0 Posted May 2, 2002 Have different gunners. 4 for the cannons (front left/right, rear left/right) A guy for the missles (Tomahawks, and SA missles) and the driver. So you can only use 2 at a time... Unless you cut down the crew. It should be able to slowly repair minor damage, since a frigate would have a repair crew. Vampire 0 Posted May 2, 2002 This is the Resisitance version of the Frigate. It was originally a NATO ship but after being bombarded by Russian planes, NATO decided it wasnt worth fixing the damage so they gave it to Resistance forces. I`m waiting for BB63 Missouri for WEST, Oscar or Typhoon class submarine for EAST and old burned Cacafuego for RESISTANCE... or another wreck, even from XX century... There are no "Battle Frigates", rather assault frigates, and the ship you show in your pictures is hardly a Frigate as it's obviously far longer than 136 meters. From the looks of it it appears to resemble the Leahy class cruiser, though I could be wrong. By the way, it takes hundreds of well trained seamen to operate a modern combatant naval vessel. A bunch of rebelious guerillas like the Resistance are hardly capable of such a task. Besides, what the hell is a point of such a thing ? There is absolutely no way to sink it with any current Flashpoint weapons. If anything it would be nice to be able to call (by radio) artillery fire from that ship and such, though today's navy vessels don't even have the big 16 inch guns anymore, rather cruise missiles and such. LordZach 0 Posted May 3, 2002 OFP doesn't support multiple weapons firing from the same vehicle at the same time...however you can do what devil did with the humvee/mg script, have the guns as seperate objects (take them off the boat) and then put them all on as a script, they would all act as seperate entities moving with the ship. guess we'll see Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

When Przezdzieblo mentioned something about a spanish war galleon wreck i suddenly had quite a cool idea. A whole new setting for ofp... The 17th Century!!! English man o' wars blasting French corvettes to bits, long-range-coastal artillery, stone fortresses, etc. Only too bad you don't have close combat in ofp, imagine stickin your bajonet into someone assaulting you, capturing ships as some wacko Dutch pirate hacking into others with your sabre    Could be cool in the present ofp-setting too. Vampire 0 Posted May 4, 2002 After taking a good look at the pictures I can see how the ship would not be a good idea for the Resistance. Instead I was thinking we can make the damaged ( cruiser not frigate ) and East ship, or maybe another West ship for realistic missions in which a ship was taken out, or some sort of mission like that. We wont make the ship invincible of course, because if you think about it, the LST is an object not a vechicle. This will be a vechicle and some well place missles will get the job done. I was thinking of making some sort of damage placement like on the troops. Like a missle into the middle of the ship will do much more damage then one to the back end.
