AnimalMother92 10 Posted September 3, 2010 Update sounds great, only other thing I can think of is that the woodland units have some gear that seems too "bright" I guess. Mainly the shemagh, empty mag pouch and the lower part of the vest on the front. It seems fluorescent or something, like it should be duller. Looking forward to tomorrow, really enjoying these units

massi 772 Posted September 3, 2010 by massi US ARMY RANGERS for Combined Operation v1.01 Hi all, As announced yesterday I’m releasing an updated version of my US Army Rangers. The mayor features of this update are that all the units are now under bis US Army faction , the ACE config now hide standard Rangers units , removed rangers tab an scrolls, and few textures adjustments. For further details please read the changelog and the readme included in the pack. As always please report bugs and suggestions , hope you’ll enjoy the update ;) . Installation. Put the addons in the "mod folder" of your preference, you will now find the units in the editor under: Bluefor - US Army - 75th Rangers ... (sorted by different camos) you'll find groups also under: Bluefor - US Army - 75th Rangers ... (as above). ACE2 config files Installation. Just put the ACE2 Optional Config (called "mas_us_rangs_ACE.pbo") in the modfolder of your preference and you'll see in the editor only the 75th Rangers ACE classes. This config DO NOT replace original Rangers units, instead it only "hide" them in the editor by setting them as "protected", I did in this way in order to get the maximum compatibility and to avoid changing classnames of the units (for mix makers). Units and organizzation are the same as for standard Rangers, but they've no backpacks, they're all equipped with ACEX gear and weapons (this means for example that all of them have one bandage, and medics have drugs too, or that spotters have spotter scopes and rangefiders, demo expert uses ACEX explosives too, etc). Units now are under Bis US Army faction, so they use "English" if Ace AI Talk is enabled. Units and Groups are the same as for vanilla game, as following:. Bluefor - US Army - 75th Rangers ACE ... (sorted by different camos) you'll find groups also under: Bluefor - US Army - 75th Rangers ACE ... (as above). Replacement Pack Installation. You'll find 4 different replacement files, you can use ONLY ONE AT A TIME !!! Just choose your preferred camo (deset, acu, woodland, or multicam), and put the relative replacement in a modfolder, you'll see standard BI Delta Force models replaced by US Army Rangers ones, all with working wound textures. Graves characters (light and heavy) are replaced as well ... so you can play the campaign again, with a bit different feeling. Changelog. v1.01 date 03/SEP/2010- Units now are under Bis "US Army" faction. - ACE config now hide standard Rangers units and groups (NO class name changes for mix makers!). - Removed Ranger's scrolls and patches , and added custom ones in order to improve realism. - Added Oackley boots. - Few textures adjustments. v1.00 date 01/SEP/2010 - first release Download Links to version v. 1.01: Filefront: http://www.filefront.com/17259127/US_Army_Rangers_CO_v1.01.7z Thanks. Thanks to all the people that spotted problems, reported issues and gave me advices, thankYou very much to all of you, I really appreciate your help. Thanks to BI for the great game and to all the community for their great support and addons! Thanks to all the people that enjoied my previous units and supported me in the forum! Hope you'll enjoy these units too! Regards, massi
(st6)predator 0 Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Super !!! Downloading now !! Thank you so much ! Edit : After a short "Test", I must say: "The units are well done" ! But i miss some Units : For example i miss some Combatunits who carry a M4 or a M16 and some Units who wear Backpacks. Please understand me wrong Massi. You have done a great work ! This will only be suggestions not Critique ! I "love" your Units ! Best Regards (ST6)Predator Edited September 3, 2010 by (ST6)Predator

Best Regards (ST6)Predator Hi Predator, no problems at all, every suggestion is welcome ;) regarding your advice maybe I did not get it 100% correct , but there are already Rangers with M4 and backpacks , I mixed M4 and SCARS like 50-50% more or less, and units are using custom backpacks (NOT the ACE version unit, as in ACE, BI rucksucks are disabled by default) , and for the M16 I think I'm not gonna give 'em those, maybe in future I can make a replacement that uses only M4 and M16 only ;) Anyway ThankYou very much, really appreciate :) Best Regards massi Edited September 3, 2010 by massi

massi 772 Posted September 3, 2010 What is the put of the M62A on the shoulder why does it not just have it so we can have are XML's on are shoulder sorry but unfortunately I'm not a native english speaker, and I didn't understand it at all :) If you 're referring to the callsign patche I decidet to put them just to give a bit of variation on normal uniform, I agree on the realism...but it's just a small patch at the end ;) I apologize if I misunderstood what you said. cheers massi ---------- Post added at 09:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:34 PM ---------- Foxhound and MIller ThankYou very much for updating DL links and frontpages, as always really appreciate ;) !!! regards massi

massi 772 Posted September 3, 2010 Oh sorry I totally misunderstood ... pardon ;) Off course I didn't even know it, so no problem at all, just tell me wath shoulder I have to left free and I'll do that in a future update :) regards massi
jay316 0 Posted September 3, 2010 maybe leave the flag on the one side and squad xml on the other?
massi 772 Posted September 3, 2010 ok no prob, actually the call sign patches are under the flag, so I've just to remove the custom patches ( they're just the 25- 30 % ofthe units wearing them , more or less , the others have one free shoulder). AnimalMother92 thanks a lot really appreciate !

bugkill 7 Posted September 5, 2010 Any chance for an update to the DCU and woodland camo? The DCU camo just does not look like the camo we use to wear and the woodland just appears off a bit.

DiFool 0 Posted September 13, 2010 Got a problem: The units don't appear under US Army - 75th Rangers in the editor. I have made a user mission with an earlier version of your addon. If I load that one with your updated version. I get an error message in the editor that the addon is missing. I neither use your replacement file nor the ace cfg. Is one of those required or may a 3rd party addon cause the problem?
