kegetys 2 Posted May 1, 2002 Phew... after a nice session of "trial and error" kind of adjusting to the plane mass I found a balance, that makes it take off easier, but it wont fall over to its back... I will propably release a new version soon. I also found some (stupid! texture bugs, I forgot the re-color a few textures after I changed the colours of the camo for the sidewinders I really cannot do anything, ofp homing missile code doesnt seem to be that great for fast moving vehicles, but they are rather effective againist helicopters. The unaccuracy of the missiles could simulate the fact that in real life the target you are firing at propably would release chaffs to distract your missiles Im not sure about what this "turn bug" thing means... It loses speed on turn, but so does the A10 and the Su25... The hawk accelerates a bit slow, but as there is no setting for acceleration in ofp I cannot do anything about it. If you dont want it to spin after tight turns, dont do tight turns The plane has a rather short wingspan (a bit over 9 meters) and its very light (about 4400 kg) so it turns really fast (For comparsion, A10 wingspan is 17 meters and it weights over 21000kg). I guess I could make the wings longer and add more mass but that would mean throwing realism right out of the window and lose all its agility and make it all sluggish Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But this one: after tight turns, both the Su-25 and the A-10 lose speed, BUT unlike the Hawk, their speed will go back up to where it was before the turn! The hawk doesn't do that though? Or only very rarely? Also, does the reworked model mean I can now take off And can you do anything about the sliding vs. rolling thing on the ground? Speeeedy 0 Posted May 2, 2002 Great work with the hawk i have the addon for a day now and i cant stop playing with it...its real nice to go trough the vally in everon with 660 (knots?). I always found the resistance needed a plane... Thought i have a little request you probably dont take on the rquest anyway I really miss a good way to attack ground vehicles perhaps some MK-82 bombs or rocket pods? that would be great. lonesoldier 0 Posted May 2, 2002 The AIM-9 Sidewinders that are on the hawk (are the AIM-9's?) are Air to Air and Air to Ground. Also it need more than two missiles. Compare it to the SU25 - 64FFAR's 6 ant tank missiles, tonnes of machine gun rounds. And then the A-10, powerful as fuck cannon and bombs and mavericks. So the resitance plane is easily outmatched by the two other planes. So add some more armament man and the plane will kick rectum. Also when i take off i can only take off from the end of the runway thats facing the ocean. Coz you cant pull the nose up on the runway for sum reason, so i have to wait for therunway to end and lunch the plane over the edge of the hill to take off.
