Bushidozeb 10 Posted August 12, 2010 I make this addon most for my self, but mabey someone else want to have them later. First I hate the new scar weapons Secondly, I want to have some basic U.S. soldiers who also is a bit adapted for combat in more than just desert. Thats why I do them :) The soldiers are based in this movie where recruits are trained:

therev709 10 Posted August 12, 2010 I'm liking this too, only why the Rank on the guy's shoulder velcro? Those arm velcro ranks are used for training purposes to designate squad leaders and such. For example: in Basic Training everyone in the platoon is an E-1 to E-4, Private to Specialist, but they designate people to simulate platoon leaders, squad leaders, team leaders, etc., and to signify this they wear the arm rank. In the real army, nobody wears a patch like that, and the shoulder patches are designated for their current unit and a combat patch.
Bushidozeb 10 Posted August 12, 2010 Haha thanks for saying that. I'll change it. :D
cyclone83 6 Posted August 12, 2010 Oh, also shouldn't be the square with the stars be on top left of the US flag?^^ And I think the flag patches on real combat uniforms are camoflage coloured, no colours at least.
sabre 244 Posted August 12, 2010 The stars go to the front, like they would on a flag being carried into battle, he has it right. I'd like to see the flag in Lo-Vis or an IR flag aswell though. Keep it up mate.
avengerzx 10 Posted August 12, 2010 (edited) the flag was correct, seen in the video he mentioned. Training video of U.S Army. Not guranteed, coz the 10th Mountain Division has black grey flag on the right arm. I though the epulette rank should be hook up infront near the chest on the newest Army Combat Uniform? It is seen on the box art, the soldier with the desert tan M4 has a coporal rank near the shoulder. Same in my country, SAF [singapore Armed Forces*] has been using similar unifrom as US Army since 2009, it has digital camo very similiar to USMC just that a little more light green and lesser black pixels. *Wikipedia tells you mord about SAF http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore_Armed_Forces Edited August 13, 2010 by avengerzx

Binkowski 26 Posted August 12, 2010 In combat we wear the IR flag, while stateside or garrisoned in a non-combat area we wear the full color flag.

suhsjake 1 Posted August 12, 2010 (edited) Okey then I now :) But the IR flag is so ugly :D Why are they use the IR Flag by the way? There is an awesome function on the AN/PVS-14 NVGs that when you rotate the dail towards IR Light, any IR object, such as the IR Flag and 1in Squares, reflect very brightly. I think it is up to 7mi or something like that. IFF pretty much. Edited August 12, 2010 by suhsjake
crimsontide 10 Posted August 12, 2010 I would give them M-4's too. there arent too many actual units that still use M-16A4's. those are mostly in guard or reserve inventories.

But i think i will do so to, or both. For now the squad and team leaders have M-4's. I would love to use Ace2 M-4's, but don´t want them just work for ace2. The USMC use them well? USMC used to use almost exclusively M-16A4, but are increasingly using more and more M-4's. all NCO's and officers below Col. are issued M-4's. maybe do both. Combined ops has more then enough M-4 varieties to go around without ACE, but ACE M-4s would be cool. maybe do 2 riflemen and 2 grenadiers one with M-4 one with M-16. one big army vs USMC difference is that USMC almost exclusively uses ACOG's with a few eotechs on M-4s, and army uses mostly aimpoints with a smattering of eotechs and acogs. Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted August 13, 2010 The editable form of the model, which we cannot get because they are a part of the game. It is technically possible to get the mlod, but doing so would be illegal and would get the person who did it banned.
suhsjake 1 Posted August 13, 2010 There are still Active Duty units that use the M16A2 and M16A4, not everyone has M4s. If you were depicting a line unit such as Infantry or Cavalry, M4 MWS are standard. Secondary Units can still be issued the M16A2 (rare though) or the M16A4 (common). I can't say to much about the Marines, that isn't my area of expertise. @Bink, thought they would have taught you that in BCT? I know my DS did. Glad you learned something though. Also glad you are back as well.

Is it also illegal to add completely new models to the game?
