I do hope BIS atleast takes 5 minutes to consider working with those guys. It could be a good idea for a new version of ArmA...

I totally agree. Melding this with ArmA would make the next ArmA the king of sandbox environments.

Perhaps this engine could be of good use, but how much does it compromise on to allow its features?

Reminds me of ACES Flight Simulator X

Combined with a few payware addons it already provides the exact same features...with a really bad, bad, bad performance on from-the-shelf PCs.

Combine this with the unlimited detail thingy, and you got yourself a game platform :p

Wow, i hadnt seen that engine before either.

Seeing some of those views is simply breath-taking. But using it for a flight sim or the like is the last thing i would thought of to use it for.

Now, my idea would be a stone age sim, hunting herds and gathering food, managing your tribe, teaching them new things and techniques, make it a survival-game :)

I could see it now :ok:

It will come to big games. But probably not yet. There are also some other things that need to be calculated in a game. AI etc, but it will be amazing when big games will abandon polygons and develop on Unlimited Detail point cloud system. :D It will be available soon.

This is much higher resolution on the ground level (outside of airports) then anything within FSX, even with payware.

The ability to have sloped runways and more dynamic terrain is also a generation past FSX's engine.

The view distance and lack of blurries in this engine also seems to fix a major problem with FSX.

I agree they look similar though.
