Total noob can't play mp

Hi

Have been unable to play online with oa. I get you were banned message on trying to join any server. I'm sure there's a simple solution, I just can't find it.

Any help appreciated.

Seems you made it into a banlist...try not to hack next time or use dubious addons with your newly purchased ID.

PS: I have the same problem on some servers without ever knowing how to do hacks...you see the point?

Another good way to get instand ban is to use a pirated version of OA..int his case the duplicate ID is detected and you get autobanned by BattleEye.

I have never played this game online. I've never played any arm game. I don't yet know how to install a add-on let alone hack!

Is it a legal copy? Maybe you're using the same name as a hacker?

Oh come on, I doubt he would be using a bad copy and then posting here! :cool: (well if I remember some actually tried...)

Can someone here advise him a server that is pretty open and vanilla, so he can have a try?

just tried again; mamaged to see a message this time:

"benutzt modifizierte daten datei ijl15.dll"

Im guessing this means the servers think ive modified something, which is strange because all Ive done is install & patched the game

the game says im running 1.52.71816

no betas or high ping

am going to uninstall/reinstall to see if that fixes things

Theres a 1.07 patch out now, many servers have it on.

I googled for the "ijl15.dll" and I dont think it belongs into the ArmA folders...whats your folder structure and install path looking like?

Maybe a reinstall into default folders will help!?

I have that ijl15.dll file in my CO folder, but it isnt in my purely OA folder. No idea what it does tho.

I have it too in CO install.

From what I gathered around, it's the Intel JPEG Library DLL

Have it there as well since 26.6.2010, so it came with OA which I installed that day. Shouldn´t prevent you from joining any OA-Servers. I suggest trying a server that´s not using/requiring any Addons (not even Arma2) like that one in my signature which is running pure Arrowhead.

in my /ArmA 2/-Folder I have the ijl15.dll, too. it's dated 12 December 2009 (the date of installation of Arma 2 on my rig), 09:37p.m. , 352.256 bytes (recognized by Total Commander File Manager, btw)

My installation -> my sig (A2 DVD + OA DVD as CombinedOps)

I never had problems joining MP because of that .dll ...hmmm...might it be that yours zookcx is corrupted/damaged/... ?

edit: my details to this .dll (mouse pointer on file in file manager/in explorer -> right mouse button -> "Eigenschaften"/"Properties" -> "version")

1.52 -> OA or CO

So zookcx has patched correctly, because he has installed OA :)

Found it too. But dont look suspiciously at him because of that. I had problems with BIS products you wouldnt even be able to put into words! :D
