ace3 activation condition for "Hold Action" on objects using 3den Enhanced
MONCHAW posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I have 2 Objects, Obj1 = Fuel Truck , Obj2 = Fuel tank; I implemented the hold action using 3den Enhanced on the Fuel Tank but I want the hold action to only activate when Obj1 is near Obj2 I tried using the trigger but I can't seem to turn the condition = true when it's near the object So It would go something like this 1. If a player goes near obj1 it will not activate the hold action 2. If a player goes to the obj1 with the specific fuel truck(i.e.- obj2) near the radius, it will then show up and the players can interact with it to trigger an objective complete. I know how to get the hold action to complete an objective what I don't know is how to set up the hold action to show only when a certain condition has been met -

set flyinheight using 3den enhanced
islesfan186 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
So, I just started toying around with Arma 3 and (obviously) it's way different then A2. In A2, if I wanted an aircraft to fly in at a specific height at a waypoint i would put a flyinheight command in the waypoint init block. HOWEVER, I don't see any such block in the edit waypoint option using 3den enhanced. How to I go about setting various flyinheights for various waypoints? Also, why is it when I set the flyinheight (in the actual unit init block) at 10 the unit hovers at 30m and if i put the height at 9 it drops to like 7m? Is there anyway to set the height to ASL or AGL? Any help would be appreciated -
Dynamic Simulation not working
WPK-ArmedVeteran posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hi! I tried using Dynamic Simulation to increase framerate in my mission, but surprisingly it doesn't work. The units which have DS enabled don't "wake up" at all. The simulation does not start, therefore I have quite a big problem. If I disable DS for a unit, the simulation goes normally, same for global disabling of DS - all units behave as they should. I'm using 3den Enhanced, but don't think that's what's causing this situation, since I've read that it works normally with 3E. Any ideas where the issue lies?- 1 reply

AH64D Helicopters being shot down by BMP every time -ArmA3
Boss-Starstreams posted a topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I'm not sure if this is game related, or mod specific. But why is it that all the helicopters get shot down every time by tanks? I'm using a BMP in this mission.. I tried using the 3den Enhanced to set the skill for both gunner and polite in the chopper: i..e.. max aim accuracy, aim speed and spot distance, and the AH64 still gets shot down every time. I also set the tank's crew skills very low, (in the 20s) for the same settings as the AH64. The 3den Enhanced does work with regard to the tanks firing at me, but the settings don't seem to have an effect on the choppers. But the larger question is: why are the AI settings in ArmA3 so unrealistic that we have to change them for everything we add? Couldn't there have been a better default setting? Tanks shoot at you and kill you on the first shot when you're sneaking in a forest 400 feet away. This is BS. There is no way. I have friends who are active in the military, and they even said it's unrealistic. I don't know why BIS hacked the settings in ArmA3 so bad. A solder gets tired in 30 seconds of running? Give me a break. That's not a solder, that's a wimp. They are not running full speed as we've been told for them to be out of breath this quick. The objects in the scene don't pass quick enough for them to be sprinting. The default AI settings in ArmA 3 are horrible. Sorry, not trying to be negative. But A2 was fun. I'm spending more time tweaking things in A3 then playing the game. Thankfully there are people in the community providing utilities such as 3den Enhanced. Had it not been for that, What would we do, live with these ridiculous default settings? Seriously.
