Purchasing a Dedicated Server?

Hey there,

I had a nose around the forums and couldn't find it, but I do remember a few months ago, someone made a post asking about purchasing a dedicated server (Or rather slots) and recived a few replies with differnt options.

I'm looking to potentially purchase a few slots on a server and i'm looking for _GOOD_ suggestions or recommendations.

They been around since 2002, My buddy and I have Arma and an Arma2

game server with them, prices are very good.

we had a server with gameservers for Red orchestra, and there was alot of things

you had to do to get that up and running, my buddy then gets one for Arma 2,

and I beign the admin was trying to get the server setup, and you had to chase

around just to do so, i was lost. I told him quit this crap go back to defcon where

everything is at your hands, all the buttons and place you need to go are in one place,

except the ftp but thas no big deal. with game servers there was a limit of 16slots, with defcon the min is 10.

I dont know about you but for a private server, unless you know 16 guys that are going

to be on your server I really dont see the point of spending that money.

Anyways defcon is a great company to work with too, especailly when you have issues,

they respond fairly quick.

UKGame are very cheap and perform pretty good. The guy who runs the support side of it is a closet Arma2/OA player, I think, so we do get good support from him.

I'm with Taxman -had AlphaNetworks server for few months now!

Never had any probs! :)

C-panel has a lot of mods there for you to pre-install!

KillerCreation have been very good in the 3 or 4 years we've been with them.
