    I'm following this thread since the beginning and it's too bad that the comunity will loose this fantastic team. I truly much appreciate what you did and I'm absolutely impressed by your results. Your decision makes me really sad... but is fully understandable... and you are not alone with your decision. A lot of senior developer teams left the Arma comunity because of the BI update strategy and the latest update changes/desaster. Well... however... it's good that we all will have the chance to play Taunus. And folks... don't forget... when it's out, enjoy the map as much as possible. The next update is coming... and for sure most of the existing community content will be unplayable or will not work. BTW... any comments from BI?? My impression is that they los the contact to the comunicty base and are flying in a 10km orbit, don't care about comunity content. Just my impression... maybe I'm wrong... but the trend in the last month is very clear.
  6. Well, find out what's in (paramsArray select 0). You can either "hint" it or "diag_log" it in the log file., I'm pretty sure you will see that there is no valid number in (paramsArray select 0) :-) I'm surprized that you use an .sqs script. It's depreciated and not recommended to use. So, may be you think about converting it to .sqf ;-) FirstPanic

    Hmmm... I really ask myself how someone can say that it looks better and more realistic, when I see the post from greenberret40 with the facts. Very hard to understand. FirstPanic

    Sorry,,, but strongly disagree... frankly. Bright ground is now kind of "glooming" and looks very unrealistic (e.g. sandy ground) When you look on tanks or cars/trucks, the tyres and chains are completely black in black... even when sun is shining on them Sky is much to bright You see more objects popping up because the distance for midrange texture has been halved. Therefore loss of details at 10-15m distance => looks VERY ugly Overall I must say that this was a big step into the wrong direction. I definitely have no fun to work on my missions when I start 3den editor and see how ugly and unrealistic it looks. I hope that BIS will add a function to switch of the new lighting!! Otherwise I'm afraid that this will split the community again... and frankly there were too many developers/modders/mission builder who gave up due to BIS product and update strategy.     Hi Taunus team, I fully understand what you feel and for me the new lightning looks very ugly, too. So, I've tried to find a video setting which is acceptable and would like to share this with you. Perhap this settings create a look and feel which is ok for you. Tab "Display": Brightness = 0.8 Gamma = 0.9 Tab "AA & PP" Bloom = 20 Sharpen Filter = 100 A= HBAO+ High Postprocessor Color Correction: Brightness=95 Contrast=86 Saturation=100 All other settings are not important for the new look & feel. BTW: If anyone else has better experience.... feel free to share and post it ;-) Best regards, FirstPanic

  14. Agree... should be ok if you have the ok from the original model creator. Just checked the BI pages => It's no allowed to debinarize BI models... but it's ok for your own models. So, if you get the ok from frankyman you should be allowed to debinarize his model for him. As an alternative frankyman might help you with debinarizing his own model for you :-) FirstPanic
