    Celle 2 in A3

    To run any A2 terrain in arma 3, you simply need the AIA TP or A3MP. When CUP Terrains is released, that will also work as a requirement. There are some fixes for the AIA TP that make it run better on later versions. I would suggest using those.

    What is your best/worst experience in Arma 3?

    Best: A friend and I were playing as a two man US Army team sent to the west of Bastam in Takistan. Our mission was to take out 2 weapons cache's: one in the mosque and one in the military complex of Rasman to the North. As we approached Bastam from the East we slowed our Humvee and began observing the enemy. After beginning our engagement we began to hear whistles...then BOOM...BOOM...BOOM. We were under inaccurate mortar fire and my buddy's just like: "We're a f*cking two man team, devil! How the h*ll do you expect us to deal with enemy mortar support?" We ended up completing the mission in Bastam and then finding the mortar in the fortifications between the two cities. His reaction, though: priceless. Worst: A save point put me right at the end of an enemie's muzzle with no time to react. Finding no way to not get shot, I had to restart the mission. The same thing happened a second time.

    AI can see through tree tops?

    They still do. It depends on the amount of smoke between you and the AI. It's not just a black and white thing now. Also, they can see through red pheonix's smoke in blastcore.

    Repair Specialist With Tool Kit Has No Repair Option

    This may be a problem with the way AI commanding works, e.g. the game doesn't understand that you want to have the AI fix something. That being said, if the vehicle has all parts at >75% health, you will not be able to repair it without a repair truck.

    I made a feedback tracker ticket on this. While I doubt it'd go as far as to make community terrains using arma 2 military buildings accessible to the sites module, it will hopefully allow community factions to be used by the module. VOTE FOR IT!

    As it stands now, this will most likely be the case at first, but we will try and phase them out at some point in order to get a new set that looks better than they do in arma 3, because, quite frankly, they aren't quite up to par.

    As it stands now, we don't have any particular factions planned for our first release. We're still working on porting the work as well as recruiting new members. We will take note of this, though and make sure that they will be included, even if it is post-release.

    Weapon Damage too low?

    And I would have to ask for video there, because using the M2 off of the back of the offroad I can take down 4-5 enemy squad members (side doesn't matter) before they have a chance to react using 5-10 round bursts at 300 meters typically only 1-2 of them hitting. Then as the rest of the squad puts up a fight, it makes it easy to hit and suppress them. This engagement took about 30 seconds total.

    Arma 3 Addons Help

    They should have already been removed. However, just in case you were wondering, most of the vanilla addons are description_f_description.pbo. The only one's that aren't labeled in that format are the A3.pbo and the map_description.pbo files. So, make sure that all of your pbo (and bisign) files are in one of those 3 formats. Afterwards, make use of the "validate integrity" option on steam just in case you deleted something important by accident. Good luck! Come back if you have any more questions!

Well, while I don't see any real issues, you may want to look at TMR and ACE3 and choose which one you want (ACE3 being my preference, but I don't know if TMR offers something that ACE3 doesn't). Other than that, there shouldn't be any issues. Mostly it would just be some overlapping functionality between TMR and ACE3. If you're running TPW, you can literally spawn yourself in an empty world and enemies and friendlies and civis will all spawn around you.

    A list of stuff for that would be incredibly long and arduous. We are working on it. You may have seen some of the screenshots awhile back, but we do have a new terrain that's got really good progress as well as some new weapon models.

    What kind of speaker/headphone do you use?

    Sades 7.1 Surround headset Very affordable, yet comfortable and offering a sound that rival's Turtle Beach and SteelSeries, especially when used with your own equalizer. Not perfect, but if you're gaming on a budget like I am then they are perfect. :D Comes with it's own basic driver, but you're better off with a free downloadable equalizer.
  17. I would kinda like that, as a lot of objects, such as the forklift, I feel would benefit from simulation. It makes no sense when a house gets hit with a large round but everything that's placed inside isn't touched.
  18. Hey, poolpunk, will you have objects that have simulation enabled so that we can knock them around? It's not something I tested when I used your packs before so I don't remember if they already do.

    Creating my own units

    All you would need to do would be to create a config file with a tool like notepad or notepad++. Then you'd just need to pack it in a pbo file using BI's tools. It's not that hard, but you will need to know the classnames of what you're putting in there (that's different from the name of the item that's displayed to you). There's most likely plenty of documentation on said classnames. Then you install the pbo just like a mod.

    AI Jet flying

    Most vehicles that don't have a designated anti-infantry weapon (HMG, GMG, or Minigun) won't engage infantry on sight, unless that infantry begins to fire upon that vehicle. Or, that's the way it used to be. I could be completely wrong.

    YES! We need 3d and texture artists. We have a only a limited number at the moment and it has been difficult or fruitless to contact some of our previous contributors. We ultimately need volunteers.
  23. I love the M134's, although they could use a bit more bass imo. Regardless, it sounds amazing and I hope the 6.5mm gatlings get a good sound too, although one that differentiates the 2.

  25. acta: This is mostly dependent on how you ported them, edited the models, etc. There are already ports out there that should work fine in Arma 3. If you do not have a number pad (for which I feel sorry for you), you will need to re-bind this function under your "view" controls in your configuration menu. Happy hunting.
