Well I didn't think so many people would get so upset by my comment. I was not attempting to police anything and this was not my personal issue. It would appear I have been policed haha so with that I'll leave you all to it. To the mod creators - truly beautiful work!

Just wanted to stop by and show my support for the mod. Its amazing! On a side note, "Jap" is still considered an ethnic slur and is pretty offensive. Its not that hard to write "Japanese".

They are indeed very close! I'm no expert but I believe the biggest different between dutch and brit dpm is as you mentioned the slightly yellower hue and the brit version has the little spots around the black where as the dutch doesn't. I totally understand where you are coming from boss and will say no more on the matter ;) But as I said, wonderful addition, recently Ive been playing around making various NATO themed peace keeping missions and high quality packs like this are a blessing! Thanks again :) -

Lovely re-skins mate! Opens up a lot of potential for mission makers. I think Dutch DPM would be a nice addition too. -
Thank you for your reply good sir and great to hear!

Hello guys, love the work. Especially the Brit kit! Will the webbing and small pack be receiving a coat of blanco at all? It would be good to have a later war version with green. I believe KG3 is the correct shade for 43 onwards. Also is Brit webbing and pack low carry weight intended? Not complaining just wondering. Again top job and many thanks. I think you have made a lot of people very happy.

Sorry I didn't intend to cause any issues! Just throwing an idea around more than a request! I'm away at work at the moment but when I get back to my home pc I will see if I have any high quality pictures to add in addition to what the limbo has posted. :)

The plan sounds great guys and I'm looking for to seeing more about it on the development blog. I had a thought the other day whilst re-watching "peacekeepers" that when you guys do the DPM gear a nice little addition would be some UN blue covers for the mk6 and a UN beret. It would allow re-creation of a lot of the 90's Brit deployments. Any way just a thought. Much love for the team and I want to reiterate what an amazing job you are doing.

I'm pleased to release my first add on for Arma3. The Republic of China Armed forces. At the moment the add on only represents the Republic of China Army but I plan to expand and include other branches of the RoC military soon. The RoC is a very interesting subject but I'd like to make it clear this add on is not a political or racial statement in anyway and is not intended to offend anyone. Please read the READ ME file in the download. Features: Army -RoC Army re-skin in ERDL camouflage with PASGT helmets. -RoC reserve's re-skin in ERDL camouflage with M1 helmets. -RoC Special Force's Sniper team in MultiCam camouflage with PASGT helmets. -Optional TFAR radio pack re-skinned in ERDL. Airforce -F-16 reskin (dependency on Firewills F-16C). -RoC Air Force fighter pilot, helicopter pilot, multi engine pilot and ground crew re-skins. General -Asian faces and Taiwanese names. -Static weapons courtesy of RHS. -High quality small arms and vehicles again, courtesy of the RHS team (RHS and CBA mod dependency). -Short single player mission (@AGM required). -Signed with Keys (First time doing this so I apologize of any errors). Requirements: @CBA @RHS Escalation @F16C_Standalone (Firewill) Recommended (and required for the mission): @AGM Future plans: -RoC Army Digital Uniform -RoC Military Police -RoC Marine Corps -RoC Airforce -AMV-7 re-skin to represent CM-32 "Clouded Leopard" IFV -M60A3 (more of a dream than reality) Notes: At the moment these RoC units are equipped with US weapons due to the similarity's with real RoC gear. If there are any modellers out there who would like to have a shot at making a T-91 rifle then that would be amazing! Most other weapons are essentially the same as RoC equipment all but in name. The reason most units are not equipped with scopes, optics and other shiny items is because most RoC troops are not equipped with them. I know the RoC is currently phasing in digital uniforms for the majority of it's forces and believe me I'd like nothing more than to add them in game but I cant find any decent high quality images to use as a base. And unfortunately my skills are not good enough to make any from scratch yet. So if any one can link me up with high quality samples of the RoC Army digital camo and RoC Marine digital camo that would be amazing. When the new Marksman DLC is released I'm thinking of equipping the reserve forces with the M14 as its virtually identical to the RoC Type-57. From my research their seems to be a Taiwanese squad out there who play Arma3 and are working on some RoC assets but their site is in Chinese, if by any chance any of the members see I'd love to talk with you guys. All feedback is welcome! Also I'd love to see any mission or campaigns involving the RoC. :) Credits and thanks: -The RHS team. -Massi and SPCraig for their PASGT helmets. -SPCraig for his M1 helmet. -Slatts and Soul for their great texture templates. -Cpl.Lib for testing and helpful feedback. -TFAR team for their great project. -Firewill for the great F-16. -Razor for his knowledge and assistance. -BIS for the game! Hello all, my first post here after many months of lurking so please be gentle with me! :p I am working on a Single player mission 'Caribou Flashpoint' and was hoping i may be able to find a few testers who could check for any issues and provide feedback. You play as a member of the Japanese Self Defence Force 1st Airborne Brigade working along side Marines of the 31st MEU. Mission time is around 45minutes. Its a linear mission with one task. It is the first time i have thought about releasing anything as i normally just make the type of things i would want to play in the editor but this time i felt maybe someone else would like to have a play. It was also a kind of test bed for lots of little bits and pieces of script and code. Inspired by the following Videos: Description - I re-wrote Caribou Frontiers history a little for the purpose of the mission. Caribou island, better known as 'Caribou Frontier' lies off North Korea's east coast in the Sea of Japan. It was used as a military base, heavily subsidized by the Soviet Union, throughout the cold war by the North Korean's and the Soviets. When the iron curtain fell and funding stopped the facilities quickly fell into disrepair. This was until oil and gas reserves were discovered. South Korea made a deal with the North to create a special administrative zone similar to Kaesong, with South Korean technology and North Korean man power they could jointly exploit the resources and prosper creating closer bonds and improving relations between both countries. How ever with North Korea carrying out a 4th Nuclear test tensions in the region quickly rose. Japan and South Korea signed a joint intelligence pact to make a show of strength against the DPRK meaning for the first time the US, RoK and Japan could work as one to counter the North Korean threat. The DPRK responded by shutting down the Caribou Economic Zone, expelling all non North Koreans and began using the island as a forward launch site for its 'Rodong' class of scuds. The DPRK also extended its 'sea of fire' threats to include Tokyo. The proximity of Caribou to Japan means detection and flight times of missiles are greatly reduced putting the entire Japanese mainland in grave danger. Japan's former defense Chief Nakatani Gen released the following statement. "North Korea poses a serious and realistic threat to Japan. We must look at active missile defense such as attacking an enemy's territory and bases." Required Add-ons: Arma2/OA CBA Community Base Addons (CBA Team) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6231 JSDF (non-ACE version) (JSDF MOD Team) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14301 North Korean Army (Someguywho) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14674 US Marines (Binkowski) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14611 Caribou Frontier (Raunhofer) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=22146 Recommended Add-ons: JSRS 1.5 ( LordJarhead) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11549 Known Issues: I have had a few issues with the Outro-loose not playing. Also a few issues with the Marines falling into a ravine. Hopefully these are solved now though. If there is any interest to test please PM me for a copy of the mission. Thanks TokyoIndia

I recently came back to arma3 after a break due to the woes of real life and I have to say 3cb's new releases were a huge part of making me want to play again! Amazing job guys! In terms of feedback for the vehicles I think the way to please everyone would be an optional pbo with your vehicles crewed by your units. I know that can be a bit of a pain from my own small foray into the world of modding but I think it's probably the best way. As for the units my only request would yet another optional pbo with the gear randomisation removed. I know this can be done via the in mod module but I'm one of those folks who likes to tweak load outs and even using the module certain things still seem to get over ridden :/ Again a big thank you! You are making a lot of walts very happy ;)

Great news on the release! Can't wait to get home and give it a try :)

If you need any support setting up Alive support give me a shout! When you write your group configs just follow this format http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Unit_Mod_Config_Standardisation and they should work just fine. The ZBD-04 looks really great! -
ALiVE - Advanced Light Infantry Virtual Environment
tokyoindia replied to wolffy.au's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hey all. I recently started using Alive and I have to say to all involved you have made an amazing mod. The main reason i started using it was because I wanted add support for my RoC add on pack. I re-wrote all my group configs following the Alive wiki pages and now the groups and faction are recognized fine. I had a few quick scenarios last night and it was amazing to see my guys in action! :) However I am having a problem getting the Player support Artillery module to work. It recognizes my units and they appear in the Support menu, but when you click on the unit the following menu asking for number of rounds and placement etc does not appear. My pack uses vanilla Arma3 mortars that are re-crewed with my units and it also uses the RHS M109 which again is re-crewed with my guys. Both of these units work fine with the module when added using their original class names, but for some reason when they are added via my faction they don't want to work. As I said before, they spawn, they are on the Support menu but they don't give an option to actually use them. In my configs they are defined as availableForSupportTypes[] = {"Artillery"}; and other than the name and crew they inherit all the properties of the originals so I cant for the life of me work out why they don't work. They work fine with the Arma3 vanilla support modules and Its very odd because custom vehicles from my add on pack work perfectly with the Player Support CAS and Transport modules. Ive probably missed a line of code somewhere but if anyone could shed any light on this for me it would be great. :p -

RoC Republic of China (Taiwan)
tokyoindia replied to tokyoindia's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Roger that! Already have a little show case in the works for the airforce. I had an idea for a campaign too but my track record for getting the things done and released is not the best. ;) I added mortar teams today and I'm trying to work out how to add Alive support but I can't seem to find a guide anyway. -

I am a huge idiot! I realized why the pictures were not working now. I thought I added the wrong pbo, then the correct one, when in fact I forgot to change the path to the pictures haha! I will make sure it is included with the next release. :) Thank you again Cpl Lib for the help and feedback! -

Republic of China Armed Forces Update Now the army has some air support! Ive packed this is as a seperate PBO so for those who don't want to use Firewills F-16 they don't have to use the RoCAF and can just update the army. To use the air force just move the PBO to the addons folder. Download: http://www.filedropper.com/roctaiwan_1 Changelog Version 1.1 -RoC Air Force added. -F-16 reskin (dependency on Firewills F-16C). -RoC Air Force fighter pilot, helicopter pilot, multi engine pilot and ground crew re-skins. -Cleaned up configs, reorganized and removed a few things. -Removed per-loaded backpacks from Virtual arsenal, only empty ones remain. -Re worked load outs and weapons slightly. -Added more names. -Image should be showing on sample mission now (mission still AGM dependent atm sorry) Version 1.0 -First Release -

Sorry at the moment the mission has a AGM dependency, I will rework it asap so that is not needed. Also I realized I added the wrong mission pbo, that's why the picture is not showing. I will get them both fixed asap. -
