    Pilgrimage - Ported

Boats are used. Normally they are assault boats, sometimes they are speedboat minigun. There are usually plenty of other boats to be found along the central rivers near to jetties. Those boats can also be used to end the mission.

Missions have been updated. I've introduced an update log to show when missions have been updated and when.

    [SP] Pilgrimage

I have been thinking about this recently. With all the different ports and updates, it is difficult to keep track of the up to date versions. I love the different ports as it keeps the mission fresh, and everyone has their own take about what they would like to see in the missions. To help everybody, and mainly myself, I have started a new topic with links to everyone's ports, whether working or not. I may not have the latest versions, but if links are provided I will update the first post as required.

I haven't got everyone's original versions, so if you can provide links to your latest versions I will update the first post.

Yes the Dingor version is just a straight copy of the Lingor version. All I did for the Malden mission was remove a few hundred objects and reposition the strongholds & airfields so that they were more likely to be on the mainland and not so close to each other. The intro & outro were broken and I don't think my scripting lack of skill is sufficient to be able to fix it. It's something for me to learn. When playing on smaller maps I always turn down hidden camps in the settings, usually to 75% which reduces the likelihood of camps next to each other although I still had one on directly the same spot as another. On Stratis I found tent city with five camps within 100m of each other. I haven't had a lot of time recently, as Pvt Partz has ported the mission to Cambodia and I have spent a bit of time in the Jungle. The map is small but awesome. I had a wonderful experience and still managed to grab a T100 from a stronghold.

    Pilgrimage Ported Variations

That is a really good port and the mission is intense. First kill - static MG at a stronghold. Assassination mission on a squad leader at the stronghold. Managed that but still had the original SMG as I was pursued through the jungle by a squad from the stronghold. They gave up and I headed south where I took out a squad of rebels before the whole world descended on me. I am dying a lot due to the lack of hard cover, especially when up against a Navid, Cyrus and Kyr, but really enjoying it. I am still surrounded but I now have the Navid. Anyone who hasn't tried the Cambodia port should try it. The map is excellent and FPS is really good.

    SP-COOP Pilgrimage TANOA Edition

Just completed Major Stiffy's Tanoa mission. Found loads of hidden camps but no checkpoints, and I travelled the map from Lijnhaven (Oh those towers) to La Rochelle and back. I also did a south-north-south mission on Malden without seeing any checkpoints. As they are smaller maps I reduce camps/checkpoints to 75% anyway. What else needs fixing?

    SP-COOP Pilgrimage TANOA Edition

Maybe. Only found 1 KOTH tower and I kind of liked it's location on the hillside outside Nicolet. After that I got a quad bike and was rarely out of the trees, especially as I had a good guess as to where the body was. Only took an hour and a half and I only saw CSAT. 8 kills including 2 x assassination missions. This means that I will have to have another go to get a look at a bit more of the map.

That's fixed it for me too. Good spot by Stoney-DSP that helped to track it down.

    SP-COOP Pilgrimage TANOA Edition

Tried it on a different PC. Still not loading the mission. I used ALT+F4 to close Arma and it saved the mission. When I restarted Arma and resumed, the mission loaded but JR_init hasn't run. Alex still has his normal weapon, backpack, etc. In this case, generally you find yourself on an empty map. Has the file that you uploaded become corrupted? My 1.94 Hotfix version starts fine.

    SP-COOP Pilgrimage TANOA Edition

I just downloaded the 'Tanoa_195D2_SP.Tanoa' mission and had the same problem as domithious. My RPT shows the following error 22:46:14 Error in expression <leteWaypoint [(group player),0]; player setPos (_starting select 0); RYD_JR_boat> 22:46:14 Error position: <setPos (_starting select 0); RYD_JR_boat> 22:46:14 Error setpos: Type Number, expected Array 22:46:14 File missions\__cur_sp.tanoa\RYD_JR\JRInit.sqf, line 1579 Otherwise it seems like the error from the 1.94 version which hung at the same stage

There are only captives at the 2 strongholds, not at airfields so don't waste your time looking for captives at an airfield like I did the other night. Remember to check the intel from the officer as soon as you get it. That will confirm the airfield/stronghold locations. It is not always clear that you are at an airfield if the chopper never made it back from its last sortie. There will be a helipad, but there are a few of those around Malden, even at strongholds.

    Pilgrimage Ported Variations

Based on Major Stiffy's Malden port I have created an alternative version. Only 1 possible airfield and 1 possible stronghold are located off the mainland. This means that you are guaranteed to have at least one airfield and one stronghold on the mainland in any mission. Airfield/stronghold locations contain less added buildings and no KOTH towers so they are much more low key. Just the strength of enemy presence give them away. Locating the officer/captive should not be so tedious. I have also removed the holster weapon action and the NVGs from the boat. I have also amended the Lingor version for Dingor which is a straight conversion Download Malden Download Dingor

Once I found the body inside the church itself which was non enterable. Even after destroying the church, I still couldn't recover the body.

It's still not that easy and they will still be in the last place that you look, as always.

I thought about it, but no. No AT, short of ammo, nothing to engage at range, no NVGs (sold at start) and it's getting dark. It was quite funny though. I could hear the gunship taking off, but I was looking at a gunship which was not moving before I realised I was looking at two airfields together. That will be why there are two sets of stronghold co-ordinates that were almost identical. Thanks. I think that's the sensible thing to do.Here's a sunset.

    [SP] Pilgrimage

I've just had two airfields within 300m of each other in the northern part. Perhaps one of them could be removed. Still, I shouldn't have any problems with gunships for the rest of the mission. I don't think I'll be able to sneak into these bases. I've run out of AT, and there are still 2 x Marids that I can see (after I've destroyed one) plus all the static weapons and infantry.

Otherwise known as Vipers I've had a couple of playthroughs on Malden. On my first one I found the stronghold locations to be a bit overcrowded with military buildings and the map was slow to load, so I edited the map to reduce the object count and get rid of the tall towers which just remind me of Altis. I like the more low key/small scale nature of the strongholds/airfields now but that's my personal taste. I play with loot on realistic at 75% so I get a chance of getting weapons but not too much. I normally get my weapons/vehicles from dead enemies, even if I didn't actually kill them. The northeastern part of the island is like a garrison area and not much can be done about it.

The boat was deliberately excluded from Bigger Trunks as it doesn't have much room in it, and it needs to float. On Tanoa I used to fill the boat with lighter stuff and I would carry heavy weapons and ammo. On arrival, I would have to dump my backpack until I could get a vehicle. It was always sad to leave a captured T100 behind.

    [SP] Pilgrimage

Great job. Trying it out. Other than starting on the small island in the SE of the map, I have had no problems so far. I heard the gunship take off, so there is an airfield nearby. A bit short on ammo, but I am going to try and find it. I don't know where Tyrone is with the intel I asked for, although Alex did receive a phone call but didn't take it because he was in combat.
