FHQ Debug Console for Arma 3
soapsurfer replied to Varanon's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Did not work for me. Maybe I filled my inventory with other stuff before adding the weapon. :o However, nice to see this getting implemented. The Loadout editor saves very much time. -
FHQ Debug Console for Arma 3
soapsurfer replied to Varanon's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Just tested it. I think this mod will make mission making much easier! Thanks! I just wondered if there is really no option to give your unit ammo in the loadout editor. Tried it and found nothing. :( -

Thanks mate. These look really nice.

I wonder if someone could provide pictures of the new weapons and optics. I'm on stable since release but very curious how they look. :)

New Revive Animation with DLC?
soapsurfer replied to Ghosthawk's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Hope dies last. I also thought about new revive and healing functionality. Would be awesome! -
Yup, I also noticed that AI is doing some quite good maneuvres in the right situations. If you get engaged by many of them and focus only at some in front of you it is a matter of time until you get shot at from side or back. :) This also works in cities for me. Sometimes AI is quite hard.

Hey folks, I'm much into Coop with friends in Arma (so far made 4 people buy this awesome game ;)) and I wonder why it is not possible to revert/load a savegame. If i recall correctly in Arma 2 you were able to save and revert like in Singleplayer if you hosted a mission or at least the campaign (that's what I did). I know there were discussions about limited savegames and that there are people who think that saving destroys the whole point of the game. For us saving is quite useful to try different approaches on a situation or just in order not to have to play the whole mission from beginning when something goes wrong. Furthermore, you are able to revert via killing all playable characters and returning to the mission selection screen but well... you know. In short: Why is there no load button if you host a Coop (no respawn) mission as it was in Arma 2? Hopefully there is no thread like this and I'm in the right section.

Are UAV and savegames somehow bugged? We saved a 2 player coop where a friend as in UAV. After reloading the save he can't move but also isnt connected to the uav anymore.

Arma 3 Photography - Pictures only NO comments! And List your Addons Used!

I just loved the scenery there, nothing that special. (890kiB) :) It's south of Athira. -
I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Just had an epic session and heading to bed right now. Also noticed that the time it starts raining when set via forecast slightly (2-3min?) differs between me and the friend I was playing with. Damn, English..
-
I think they came with Altis. Tried them also the first time today, very cool indeed. Clouds are on low.
-
Sure that this can happen but no matter what Forecast I set there is always sun shining, no thick clouds. :(
-
Is the weather actually working? Sun shining for every overcast settings here. Also noticed a friend saying it is raining in a MP mission (one of the new assault missions) when sun was shining on my end to.. Kinda confusing. :)

The BETA is dead! Long live Arma 3!
soapsurfer replied to scorp4's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
I'd love to see the differences between dev branch and stable branch now. They already said that not everything that is yet on the dev branch will be in the full release. Switching to stable now would be a good option for me as I have a new internet connection with limited data (hell it's 100 times faster than before!). -
I was talking about waypoints in the editor. Even helicopters sometimes don't move to the next waypoint and it seems completely random to me. :(
-
I'm wondering if the waypoints are broken, would be nice if anyone could tell me. Since Altis was staged I'm having the problem, that chains of waypoints don't work with certain locations, settings etc. The units just stop after the first waypoint Is there anything known or am I doing stupid stupid stupid things?

Infantry combat has definitely improved, few questions though
soapsurfer replied to the_blitz6794's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Would be interested in a high command tutorial, too. I set up a mission with it yesterday but I'm not understanding how it fully works. Maybe head back to the Arma 2 HC Tutorial, if you own it. :p -
So why didn't Bohemia get the rights to use real world names for stuff?
soapsurfer replied to HighwayStar's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I dont get why they should use licensed names. It's all about money. If they spend 100k (fictional numbers, i have no clue what something like this costs :)) then these 100k can't be put into something that enriches the gameplay. I totally support that there are no real names ingame, it's just useless from my point of view. -
Disapointed with the full release content
soapsurfer replied to Tyl3r99's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
Totally this. I like them quite much. Sure there is some bug fixing need but overall they look good. Not enough variety is the only problem for me. -

soapsurfer replied to Tyl3r99's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
I can't see why Arma 3 should be a failed project. They said some of the goals where set new while development and I'm sure this is going to end fine. Many bugs have been eliminated through this Alpha and Beta phases and I hat a shitload of fun with this game. I made three friends of mine who are absolutely not into simulations buy this game just for some funny LAN parties (yeah, LAN support, thank you for implementing this in a time where most developers don't even know what this means). I think Arma 3 is a good step into the right direction and I hope that these bugs with yesterdays new stuff will get fixed soon - as you might know that's what the development branch is meant for: giving stuff to the people so it can get tested. I meantioned in the dev branch topic that I'm not that happy with the variety and so on but I suppose Arma 3 will do great. The game will develop further after launch and it will get better. For a good sandbox you need high quality stuff and high quality takes its time. Maybe the concerns about the c&p will be thought over but I hope people will talk a bit more constructive without getting impolite. I'm sure there's a lood of effort and love in this game and I myself would be quite sad when reading what some people write here (bash inc). :) Moreover, constructive criticism will help a lot more than.. well you know. -
Quite sad what I'm reading here. I'm sure that I'll have plenty of fun with Arma 3 even with this content but it seems so much less than in Arma 2. Some sort of official AiA would be quite cool with all the weapons and vehicles from Arma 2 ported and polished for the game. What bugs me most is the missing variability. All the MX models are way to similar for me (not that I dont like them). It's basically like Blue has one all purpose rifle with extented mags, longer barrel etc. when Red and Green have their dedicated models for each purpose. Then I dont know why CSAT and Greeks share the same Marksman Rifle. I think about the double amount of weapons would be sufficient for a game like this. Nevertheless I want to test these new stuff tomorrow (not at home tonight, but my download is running...:licklips: ). Maybe more stuff while come by time.

Assault on Charkia: an OFP-styled combined arms assault on Altis!
soapsurfer replied to sic-disaster's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
The mission was indeed very nice to play. The voiceover was nice and gave the mission the mission some more professionalism. Very nice. What about changing the ending a bit? Seeing OpFors really flee and not ending the mission so abrupt? -
