  1. Another thing I noticed is that on my setup, the models or textures appears to be lacking "depth" shadows? It may be textures that lacks shadows baked in as details. Otherwise still a great job.
  2. Great to hear. I think you can also test map sections by making a VR edition (polygons) with no textures and just drop the models onto the world map, and run waypoint or AI navigation checks to make sure the AI works without issues. It would help you spot issues when modeling the urban areas, buildings, obstacles and layouts. You can also test one of the better AI mods such as VCOM AI or Group Link 5 to see if the terrain will snag the AI. Its a lot of work, but at least you narrow down or limit to what can work before going full blow artistic on it. You can always add closed off buildings as background art to get the look and feel you want. A world inspired by Shirow Masamune and Oshii Mamoru would be so incredible. I'm looking forward to the huge forests. Feels like it is out of Pandora from the Avatar movie. A great sci-fi inspiration in any case. I tested the current version and its pretty good but there are some compatibility issues when loading up other A3 unit mods along. If I try to insert any LoD unit with the Aegis, either side, I get a missing backpack or Aegis message, then the editor would not be able to preview the mission. If I delete that unit, but load up the android or player unit without Aegis, it works. If you need any testing help, let us know. Would definitely help you guys troubleshoot.

  4. Awesome. I am waiting for the next update. Question about the Urban areas. Are you going to make another Eastern EU or Mediterranean theme area or a more westernized metropolis like London, Paris, New York, Frankfurt, Shanghai, Tokyo or Hong Kong? An anime type Mega-Tokyo city would be incredible to play in.

  6. I think if you need like a FEW files, you can include it but you must give credit to the original authors. If you need more than a few files, it is best to use the pack with all the resources you need. AiA is obsolete as it will not be supported. A3MP is obsolete and should be merged into AiA TP already. Cup should be okay as it will be maintained to bring A2/CO assets over. AiA TP should continue and hope it will merge into cup as map content eventually. So I would bite the bullet and ask users to just use CUP/AiA TP if you really need to NOW instead of later.

    I wonder how many MORE copies of ARMA III are now being sold with this function enabled? Those guys sure have a lot of money! Bad PR is still PR no matter what one thinks.

    So looking forward to this! Great job! If Bad Benson has time, and ports his Alienz mod from A2 over with these guys, it would be incredible. Add the new rail tank to the mix and a little scifi weapons for that old school tactical x-com fun.

    Loving it! I always wanted the Super Tomcat or a more modern variation of it. Maybe in 2035 we can have micro veneer thrusters to assist with agility and vtol on a strike fighter!
  14. I had upgraded from an i5-750 (4.2 GHZ) and run my 4790K at stock. The best I can do on water cooling Corsair H50 is 4.5 GHZ (all cores). You can actually buy a guaranteed 5 GHZ 4790k! Read this review here. Then get 32 GB of FAST ram, and load the game into a ramdrive. Runs fast and great with a good gpu. Online is different as you are synced to that cpu. If the server is running off a ramdrive with a fast cpu, online play should be decent.
  15. Did you mean multimonitors? If you have a video card (s) that support that, you can setup a multi-monitor setup with 1 Pc.     Love the updates. If we have some Blade Runner, Neo Metropolis type map and environment, it would be an awesome combo.
  17. Game is fully cpu dependent but having a very high IPC cpu such as an Intel Haswell may actually be worth upgrading if you play ARMA in general a lot. I did get an SSD before Christmas and while it is an improvement on streaming the map and assets, RAMdisk is still king if you have enough ram and can load enough of the PBOs into it. The game plays so much smoother especially with a Haswell cpu OC'ed to the max.
  18. I want BIS to take this on. It would only push the last diehard A2 players to A3 and greatly draw more players to A3. A3 has a good engine (multithreading AI and 64 bit may help) but it needs content to grow such as all that from A2.

  20. Thank you for your hard work .kju. If not for you, I would not have picked up Arma 3 Alpha and enjoyed your work. I do hope you would return back one day. I hope Bis considers taking up ARMA 3 rearmed.

  22. Awesome! NY Gangsters in whatever-stan. Haha... You need to release a GTA4 voice pack or at least the scripts. I have GTA4 so I can pull the sounds myself. Can you produce a video with with Alienz mod? Would be funny with GTA 5 voices and Aliens. West Coast Alien Invasion! :D
  23. Awesome for the new beta but can we get a patch of the updated files? I don't want to download ANOTHER 13 GB but need nearly 30 GB of freespace to unpack and install it.
