This would make sense if arma had 64-bit executable. OCing your ram can make a difference tho. -
Well i'm glad I made you laugh but on a serious note why not to use something that can possibly squeeze more performance out of your game?

Excuse me... "As always our prime focus will be on the western front conflict, but we are open to branching out and exploring more than France, with ArmA3's base setting of the Greek islands a Mediterranean setting seems like a great choice for a new terrain and conflict to explore." Am I wrong or is this old news?

THIS! Because in real life Stratis is the island of Lemnos and it was occupied by german army during the WWII. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Triple_Occupation_of_Greece.png

General Discussion (dev branch)
Battlefieldbully replied to DnA's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I'm also getting frame drops on all sectors. With the latest patch I went from 52 -> 45fps in Altis benchmark. Can't really enjoy the new campaign either since i'm only getting 12 fps when the going gets rough. :( -
Campaign Episode 2: ADAPT - Feedback thread ** SPOILER WARNING! **

Have you tried playing with bcombat mod enabled? Completely revolutionized SP game experience for me at least and it doesn't break the campaign. :) -

Did I miss something or did they state you can't save your mission progress? wow -
Campaign Episode 1: SURVIVE - Feedback thread ** SPOILER WARNING! **
Battlefieldbully replied to maddogx's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Ok now im pissed... I reached the second mission, saved the game and closed to desktop. Took my dog out for shit, came back and had to start the whole campaign from the scratch.. WHY isn't mission progress being saved hereeeee???? -
That's pretty good actually! Not a big fan of Wasteland tho... There used to be more than few playable domination servers during alpha phase but those are long gone. That was on Stratis tho.
-
Sadly yes. I won't touch the MP until i get to see more frames and my eyes stop bleeding, lol.

AGAIN i'd like to pinpoint you these benchmarks. http://www.techspot.com/review/712-arma-3-benchmarks/page5.html AMD isn't that far behind especially on higher clockspeeds. I consider 3fps loss non-lethal for the game experience.

ATI - Low FPS in spite of good hardware.
Battlefieldbully replied to Jefferson's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Arguments?? You can get two 7950's with a price of one 770. 7000 series are crazy overclockers and you get more performance with less money. Some ppl say ATI drivers are bad but personally i've had no trouble with the latest beta drivers EVER. Nothing wrong with Nvidia tho. Both companies make good stuff. ---------- Post added at 07:16 ---------- Previous post was at 07:14 ---------- I also have good news for you AMD FX users. Check these benches and wait for updates. AMD FX8350 only loses 3fps against i7-4770K both @ 4,5ghz http://www.techspot.com/review/712-arma-3-benchmarks/ -
31st Normandy Mod: World War II for ArmA3
Battlefieldbully replied to rip31st's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Great! I finally got my hands on TL Space and Altiverb which can emulate the sound of any space/enviroment. The possibilities are endless because with those programs you can design and build 3D reverbs/echoes of any building, forest, bunker etc... I can also record ambient sounds for summer/winter maps if needed. -

If you need help to bring up the quality i'm willing to mix those audio files for you when they're done. I'm an audio engineer and running a pretty decent Pro Tools production studio here. I've also done some foley recording and mixing so I pretty much know how to deal with that stuff :) -
I don't know if somebody has addressed this before but like the title says AI tends to partially sink beneath the surface when they hit the ground. I'm not sure if it's a graphical glitch but sure is annoying especially when you're trying to hit distant targets. Sorry guys if somebody posted about this before but I couldn't find anything with the search function. I got a little worried when I noticed thhis still wasn't fixed. :j:

Ai sinking beneath the ground
Battlefieldbully replied to Battlefieldbully's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Ok thanks for the clarification. I'm not sure if the execution of this particular effect is very polished/sophisticated but it's def working, lol -
I own the same CPU and it can handle most of the light missions very well although i had to OC to 4,8ghz and get a liquid cooling kit to achieve this. I get 45-55fps in infantry showcase and 40+ in well scripted MP missions on a good server. I'm planning to get a 6300 and upgrade to win 8. I've read that both Bulldozer and Vishera benefit from the OS upgrade. Primary reason for this is that Windows 7’s scheduler doesn't know how to deal with the Bulldozer’s shared multi-cores.
-
hahha sry about that! I'm simply trying to prove that even the old gen FX owners can play this game if they own decent cooling. :)

This is so true. I overclocked my FX-6100 from stock clocks to 4.7ghz and my FPS went from mid 20s to 35-50 with everything set on High and VD set to 1500. My rig runs pretty damn hot but i'm happy to be able to play this with my current setup! 59C under load... btw my GPU is OC'd 550 Ti which might be the bottleneck here.
