I agree with you DarkWanderer, it is a good simple example. Hope things will move ... it is really sad because Aircrafts are an important of arma, and more over with Arma 3 and its bigger map ! Edit : The way to land or take off is improve with the A-164 but all other things stay bad. Any dev around here to give us some news? :)- 874 replies

The proof : try to modify by your own files and see if you have something realist. If they don't do some change we will never be able to see something realistic. We are talking about realism, so i don't see how a L-159 can IRL take off from a grass strip. As you said even if those runway are not flat enough (and i agree ) BI should adjust that. But allow a L-159 to take off from this kind of runway is for me definitely not realistic. We can't claim realistic things and non realistic things in the same times xD.- 874 replies

I agree, but BI have to do something, because many people complain about flight model and they can use their experience with TOH (as they said ... ). Why there is no developer on this topic ? It could be interesting to speak with some of them, like other topic do.- 874 replies

You are talking about real flight model, you want the same aerodynamic i tell you it is NOT possible atm. You talking about DCS , ok, even if it is primitive it is a sim, and at the moment it is NOT possible atm to have something real in arma because there are too many basics things missing.- 874 replies

Press TAB (or T) to lock target with aircraft. SPAM this key to have an easy way to see that, and the game will lag each time you press this key. -
it is not the topic for config spec. But yes, just need to adjust your video setting.

About light, will make REAL anti-collisions light for aircraft ? It flash at long range IRL, it is the goal of it. Same question for navigations lights. Thank you.

Question, why there are F-35, C-130 etc ... in the tactical guide and not in the game ? XD -
+1 , need more really HOTAS control, but adapt it to keyboard : push A button, increase % of throttle, push B button decrease % of throttle ( or collective for helicopter ). Stop to be limited by "few mouse gamers". In this way, don't give us the ability to flight and let only AI able to fly ...

Nothing like that for me. Playing with a HOTAS. Edit bombing problems : In north of kavala, after 4 JDAM of 2000lbs the bridge still ok. Any idea why ? -

No it is not possible because the flight model is not working like a sim. In dcs A10 you can and you have a good flight model. The problem of arma 3 is even basic things are not into the the game. No real lift for each wing, not G / Stall effect, wrong speed reference, wrong throttle ( the throttle IRL is to set a % of power from the engine, in arma 3 it set a speed !!! ). The we have a wrong basic flight model. => To have value close to the reality ( even if it is not good as a DCS ), is NOT POSSIBLE at the moment. BIS really have to do something ... :( I think most of those point are not really hard for them, except create a "real" lift, and they need to do it to improve the game. Operation flashpoint was egal or better than arma 3 to flight ? :j: ;)- 874 replies

Feedback : For an a-10, the a-164 is too maneuver. There is no pitch trim so the nose of the a-164 always goes down. Still height (AGL ) of reference rather than AMSL ! How can you still have that, in arma 2 we HAD AMSL as a reference. We are going backward here =/ . @Deathstrike : The buzzard doesn't have after-burner, and it is a jet so it is realistic to don't be able to take off from ALL airfields. +1 : The problem of HUD (to read information ) is for all aircraft unfortunately :( , they need to do something.- 874 replies

you are not locking anything because you get anything. It is not because it is in the HUD that mean you are getting the target. It is not because you have the diamond in the HUD that mean you have locked the target. You have to do like all other aircraft with all other bombs. All lock system are working in the same way in arma. TAB (or T ) then lock ( by having the good position ) -
I think no need to focus on arma 2 helicopter, but to improve the flight model. Because with those script you can get something better the Arma 3 /Arma 2.

yes you can lock armored at 12km, but is it also true for laser designator ? that mean if JDAM system is based on AGM system then we will be able to lock at 12km away also. -

guys you never read, use the doc with mods to know how to use it ;) . @Neptune : You may be right ! Try this one to be sure ( i can't do the test atm). Ask a friend of you to designate a target with a laser designator and try to lock it with AGM and report us the distance you get. -
1st you can't use the F-18 as an example because it is a mod. 2snd, even if it is a very arcade game for radar etc ... You need just need to train to have the good position to lock. with the vanilla game or with the f-18 AGM can lock at very very very long range ( for arma )!

Idea to improve the initial lock. As you know with AGM 65 missile, you can lock at 10km or maybe more, without having 12km of visi and object view distance. Maybe use it as a reference for the gps to allow player to lock GPS designation at higher distance ? -

I agree with VTS 4.0 and one HC we spawned around 700 AI with good performance. But the HC CPU load is only around 30% for all 4 core.
