    battleye fails to install.

Well it did the trick for me.

    battleye fails to install.

http://shrani.si/f/Z/4U/1igNXiG4/3.jpg (104 kB) So I used the administrator option and it says successfully installed. But it didn't do anything, it asks again as you can see in the picture.

    battleye fails to install.

http://shrani.si/f/1Q/qs/2J2MSMZT/1.jpg (116 kB) This. And by installer I mean the one that downloads into the directories with the game, not the one from previous iterations, which is the one I presume setup doesn't find for some reason. Or if it's a different one I don't see why it downloads with the game and where is Battleye supposed to install from.

    battleye fails to install.

Why are you referring me to the same suggestions already posted in this thread? The installer in the game directory doesn't even start up, should have mentioned that earlier.

    battleye fails to install.

I expected the migration to Steam to be a mess, lo and behold. First ACR wouldn't activate on Steam for some reason, but that was probably something with Steam servers. Doesn't matter. What does matter is the BE updating through Steam that basically makes the game unplayable. When trying to start the game the command prompt tries to install BEservice, error window pops up, command prompt says failed. We don't really need that do we, we'll just manually download the .dll file from their website, that always worked in the past, right? Wrong. Use the launch options to start the game without battleye, get to a server, game crashes and a command prompt again, except this time it's asking me to run it as administrator. You can imagine it made no difference otherwise I wouldn't be writing about it here. This does not for a happy consumer make.
  6. Yep, it's a build in feature. But without the backpacks actually being worn on the models. Speaking of which, Dwarden could we get an official line about that? Will the models be adjusted to carry them, or will we have to make due with the way it is now?

    Arma Memes...

  8. Your command line didn't work, but it did make me go back and try the one in the readme again just to make sure. Woe and behold -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion did the trick now. I guess I messed something up previously, so I must take the blame for wasting your time. Thanks for your help. I am disappointed the backpacks aren't visually represented on the soldiers as they are carrying them though, I hope that gets adressed before final release.
  9. Nope, all it displays for me is the version number, no "Expansion beta".
  10. Didn't use any betas before. And when you say "green", do you mean night vision? Because that's on the person, not the tank. And yes, launched from the beta directory, with the version number displaying 1.63.112555. Nowhere does it say beta though, not that I noticed. Meanwhile I did go through the patch log and didn't see anywhere any mention of the issues aformentioned. That's why I'm checking here.
  11. Forgive me, but as a player I don't see any difference in this beta. ArmA2 units still can't use backpacks, AK recoil is still high, T-90 still has no thermals and so on. Am I doing something wrong, or were these issues not adressed.

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

I'll retract my previous statement as BIS fixed and replaced the installers, they work without a problem now.

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

The lack of support is disappointing, what can I say, apparently it's better to pirate BI software to not pay for some retarded copy-protection that will not allow installation of a bought product. I will not be buying any more BI products.

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

I mailed it to the email directly now, will see if it's of any use. Us two are by far not the only ones with this problem. You might try the tip left in this thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?138990-Can-t-Install-BAF-PMC-DLC-on-Windows8-ACR-installs-fine As for the problem in my case; Stardock says they sold the technology to Gamestop so they aren't helping.

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

I sent two messages through the website form at STORE.Bistudio.com Contact Details. I didn't see any ticket opening options.
  16. I have a similar, not same problem, except it's on WinXP.

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

Support is about as useful as an eunuch in a whorehouse so I will post my question here; I skimmed the troubleshooting thread and did not see this issue, I am sorry if I missed it somehow and if this has already been answered. My issue is, I recently uninstalled ArmA completely because of a crash I was getting whilst playing online. It was the Battleye #3 error about corrupt data or something like that. The Battleye guy told me this was just Battleye booting me off servers because the game crashed and not the game crashing because of Battleye. I find this hard to fathom, as I don't use any mods, but ok, I accept that a game file might become corrupted somehow. Which brings me to the issue at hand. I downloaded the game and tried to install it. ArmA2 and Operation Arrowhead install without any problems, but when I try to install BAF or PMC (ACR seems to work though), it extracts to the temp folder just fine, but the setup won't start. I try to start it, the splash comes up for a few seconds and then it exits. So basically, it's not installing. I strongly suspect the culprit to be ReactorActivate.exe, as in that Stardock activation included in the installer. Because it itself won't run, the addon won't install. I mailed stardock with a question of dependancies, but am still waiting for a meaningful reply.
