    Yep, i've been wondering wich settings would be best, because from what i've heard, if the aim skill of the AI is too low they tend to friendly fire. From what i've noticed the problem seems to be the AI first shot on each burst, the first shot is always perfect despite the situation and the next shots are more human. Thanks for all the help, going to play with the configs to find the best spot for my group of friends. Thanks a lot guys!

    The problem with the transition when on the top of the ladder is that sometimes i want to watch what is over the ladder, so if there is such animation the player should have control over it

    Thanks ChrisB, haha that's what i've meant, their aim and recoil management. My english is not really good and sometimes i don't express myself well. Almost any little failure against the AI result in a total wipeout of my fireteam, hope it changes. But thanks for explaining it to me.

    I'm just wondering, i'm kinda of new to the ArmA series but is the AI excessive skilled? I mean, sometimes me and some friends we get them by surprise while on cover and them on the open with same numbers but still they manage to wipe us out, they have a very precise aim, even an autoriflemen barely miss when he shot on us, its just 1 or 2 shots before they get me.

    I think, vehicles headlights could be stronger, and what about the flashlights? Are they strong enough now?

    I'm ok with the stars, i've seen some other people with a bug that make stars way too bright, the vehicles lights are ok, didn't tested flashlight but it should be alright, but some lamps aren't iluminating at all, and the bright night i don't know, i like it but it could be darker, without outcast its too easy to see enemies, and i miss the pitch black night that don't happens even with full overcast. BTW i'm not having fps issues. That's my feedback from a really fast test

    The bright night is alright, just the overcast that should have a stronger effect. And Please make those lights work! Those places should be amazing with the lighting fully working!

    How are the nights with some clouds? I do enjoy the moon starting to having more impact, but still the nights should be close to pitch black, atm they are too bright in my opnion. And the artificial lights sure are a problem

    I know, but i want the dot to be the default on, since marking trails or making fast markers it would be better to have the dot instead of the big circle

    I don't think it is possible without scripting or addons, i've looked on the options and tried to do this, but you're aware that it only shows detected enemies and it isn't their actual position if they are out of sight right? I've been wondering if there is a way to change the default marker on the map to the dot one? Sometimes i want to mark multiples things fast, and even routes and i do it with dots since they are more precise and the default one is way too big, the dots are more multipurpose.
  17. I would like to suggest something, if it would be possible to make the surrounding sounds of the player, to play on the radio. Like if i'm talking on a radio while getting shot, other would be able to hear, but not too loud so it wouldn't be annoying. Don't know if it would be a good feature for real, maybe the surrounding sounds would be too annoying or it would be too much trouble for a little effect, but it would be nice to try.
  18. I have found the right place to post this, is there a way to move it there by myself? or only the moderators could do it? Hello, i've a question about modding but i don't know if this is the right place to ask, so if it is wrong sorry but it looked like the most appropriate place to ask. I've never had to mod anything so i'm pretty clueless about how it works, and i want to make a mod like STinteract for ArmA3, since STinteract requires ACE2 it can't be run on ArmA 3, but i have searched how to make mods for ArmA3 and could'nt find anything useful, most results were about installing mods, i've find something related with ArmA 2 but i don't know if it would work. So if someone could point me to the right direction and help me just how to start i would be thankfull. This is the link that i've found about modtools but they are for arma2: http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/08/14/download-arma-2-mod-tools/ Do they work in ArmA 3? And if they do what kind of tutorial i should look for? Thanks for your attention and sorry if i've made some mistakes, my english is not that great

    ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread

    I'm not used to modding, but i've seen some missions with a function like de STinteract, would it be possible to make a mod like STinteract without requiring ACE2 to run on arma 3? If someone could do this, or even ask dslyexci to modify their mod to port it into arma 3 it would be really nice!

    Just to be sure, yesterday i was playing and when i was accessing the map while prone, sometimes when i exit the map my character played the animation of when healing himself when prone, it looked kind of random but it happened while acessing maps, could someone try to reproduce it to see if it is only on my side?

    BigShot, don't worry they aren't clunky, i've played a lot yesterday and tbh i've barely noticed any changes, maybe they could be a little slower, but aren't bad.
  23. Dude, you're doing an amazing job here! I'm really expecting to see this, i really enjoy some of these maps, they are really nice for a change of pace, and it still can be a good military island. Good luck on your job!

    When you run without tatical pace you can still shot, didn't saw that and tbh i liked it, wish we could shot while sprinting. They aren't shots to kill a enemy but they could work as warning shots in some scenarios ---------- Post added at 13:14 ---------- Previous post was at 13:02 ---------- Today i've found the animation viewer, well it kinda of answered me a lot of questions, there are full animations for injuries and grenade throws for people wondering

    Beta isn't actually that far away

    Yes, i would like that the game was finished now, but it doesn't mean that i would want a rushed game, so yeah i do want the game as soon as possible but it is just a wish and even if im bored of playing the alpha well i'll wait then, when the game is released i believe i won't regret the waiting!
