Is this the default mission?. I played the default mission a coupke days ago but didnt have that altho i didnt kill the patrol... ill look at it when i get home... seems odd. Can you try my escape mission and see what happens?

There is no reason why a horde would spawn when u kill Ai that i am aware of.. Im assuming you are using latest version of ravage and cba? I took a look at the init code you posted. It looked ok... U get no weapon on opening spawn and then when u kill one of the first patrol a horde spawns instantly and visibly around you?

I'm just plugging away on the guns now. My workflow is pretty efficient and depending on how many versions it takes to get it tolerable, i can rip about one off every hour and a half. Some of the guns are up to v5 and sometimes v1 looks good. EOs zubr and the one i for rvg_weapons were v1s. Weird how some just come together and others are like a cat fight lol. The longer the update takes the more guns i can do. Real question thats up to Haleks is how much you want in next update... I think the weapon jamming amd wear will take some play testing to get right... the way i set it up you can go through 1000 rnds before it starts getting annoying... thats a lot of 30 rnd mags. I also thought you could tie the wear calculation into the costs you set up... In any case, this next couple releases are gonna be great because the furniture and looting are total game changers imo.

I was thinking about that yesterday. I would like to have that and a malden version ready for next release too. Pushing on the guns right now but will try to have a version ready. Its actually playable but i noticed some weird random starting locations . Shoulf be easy to fix when i need a break from the guns.

Ive done a lot of thinking on the internet... im not convinced we need it... it certainly could be argued that we have created the interdependence but it is still a construct... I remember a time where you were in a car and nobody could phone you... Imo thimgs havent changed much other then what society chooses to focus on... our values in the late 50s were different then know... i think life has been too easy for too long... makes us complacent

Thanks guys. I will keep pushing them out until the next update... if you find one in game that makes you throw up everytime you see it I can redo it. I have all the working files saved so its fairly easy to go in and touch a few things up here and there. I just don't want to get too perfectionist as this point because I want it to be a fairly comprehensive package if it is to become the starting point of the looting experience The plan is to have lots with a few that may be questionable rather then a small number of perfect textures... If i could get the worn metal look and could get a few varations of a few of the more common rifles I think that will go along way further to diluting the ones that aren't as good.

The world has certainly changed but people haven't changed that much... in fact imo humans haven't changed much in our recorded history... if we had... I'm not sure we would be doing all the same things with better stuff... To your point tho, the influx of information, mostly negative, is overwhelming and I think it is having a negative effect on society as a whole. People don't talk to each other in person anymore... everything is done through impersonal 240 character statements. The values that made people good are getting blurred... Things are way too convenient... people have forgotten how to turn things off.. how to wait... how to go out in the world and not expect everything to be perfectly setup up for yourself... Arma holds a niche and in some ways is at a complexity to work with that it turns a lot of people off.. which is ok... life isn't supposed to be easy ;) I think Steam has a lot to do with it as well. It is so easy to maintain a group on there and you use it anyways so I wonder how many people have transitioned discussion there, where in A2 it was likely mostly here of TS?

Keep in mind i'm using a bit of artistic license on the guns... No self respecting gun owner would field one of the rusty ones LOL ;) Eventually i would like to have as many rusty guns as Bis guns and maybe even get permission to add a few from some mods... I may try the silver worn look on the black spar...

@BattleChief Yeah... I'm not sure about the polymer yet... here is what it looks like from the side... polymer wouldnt really absorb the rust color as such although maybe a bit of a film would build up.. I took a few liberties... see what you think in game and let me know if I need to tone done the rust bleed I reworked the Spar SBR a bit. I didnt like the rust on the stock or the shiny barrel... got most of the rust off the stock but there is still one line... interesting how the texture wraps around this model... Some of them are easy and some are complex to get the colors and rust in the right places...

a zubr for next release... i'm working on a few less rusty version to balance it out... im hoping to get permission to retexture some scopes and include them in the future... no promises on that as it is dependent on the authors.. A rook 40 and for the snipers... maybe... you will have to find both to see....

BBenson's Gun will be the "Not Compatible with Exile" I would also like to look at a finding a few scopes, a silencer and a bipod to complete the whole look. Like the retextures I did in some of my pics so the scopes match the guns etc. IMO it wont be complete until then. I will get around to that at some point i hope.

It works fairly well and the attachments icons line up on the ones I looked at. I can fix the alignment pretty easily if need be but it looks ok. The UI would be cool but it might become a little too overdone and take away from other missions since you use it in everything. Maybe a color change would be cool though. This is in Ravage for now and made for it. If there is some interest at some point down the line I could consider releasing on its own. Its set up to be available in the arsenal tho so if you have ravage running you will have access to them. The long term intentions is to have the BIS guns textures to be less prevalent and something special as it should be in a post Apoc World. The stats arent as adjusted as I would like but in order to adjust damage values I would have to configure all new ammo for every ammo type and that creates other issues so at this point it is slight reduction in range, sway recovery , reload time etc. Likely not even noticable most of the time... That zubr will not be included. That's EOs and up to him but I would suggest that it will be unlikely to ever see the light of day. However, I will do a seperate rusted zubr for the mod as well eventually do up some "Legendary Guns" with increased stats. Maybe some nice things like use them to recognize great mod makers or like the memorials to the fallen... who knows :) Besides... EOs gun is way too OP... lol
