are we playing: "turn around all i'm saying" game now? -
noticed a bug, pecheneg is not showing in russian ammo box. Also imo recoil is to low a some weapons. I can shoot a pecheneg in standing, with very low recoil. As far i know, shooting lmg in standing, should have hard recoil. BTR-100 has to overpowered guns. I destroyed stryder with just 1-2 hits, a building fell from 4-5 shots. Also a personal request, is there any way, you sudden, to make your addon use jsrs 2.0 sound? Something like extra compatible patch or addon? I'm playing all waay with 2.0 all the way with my friends, and hearing vanilla sounds is not good.

yep, i did missread your post. VAB is a cool thing, but it's a cheat at same time. I'm doing missions for myself and coop with friends, always using ammo boxes from editor. Some say, hey why not use virtual ammo box? I say, you are in the army son, you have to use what was given to you! And yes, making a mission can be really frustrating, takes lots of time for unecessary stuff, which could be done in seconds with 3D editor for example... -

i do always, if i did enjoy the mission. -
And as someone mentioned before, we need much greater shadow cast distance. 200m is just to short. No idea with 2km, but i believe at least 1km shadow draw distance, wouldn't cost a huge performance hit, but will look much better then just 200m like now.

i could also start by "i've done more then you think" stuff. I was the one, who created a thread, about the shadows still being ugly jitterish, and need a fix in a 2013 game, just before arma 3 alpha came. Now it got fixed more or less. But who cares lol. If you bring a cool mission people like or a mod, this will bring you a great achievment, and not just talk. -

i think, it is OK to have bullet protection work like that, esp. if you remember, game takes place in 2035, for twenty and half years, there could be developed new materials, more lightweight but stronger then current, so there is no big magic behind it. Only it was frustrating for me, when at one of PvP matches, i was shooting a guy with 5,56mm inside the building, like 1-2m away, shot almost whole mag in to his chest (maybe missed few bullets) but he stayed alive and even killed me. One question i have, it takes 3 hits in to legs, to kill a soldier in the game from 5.56 to 7.62mm if i'm not wrong. I have no idea how real is that, but i'm sure, taking a hit from 7,62mm bullet in to a leg, should make you walk slow, being injured in to both legs, should make you immobile at all. But in the game bots keep running after being hit in to the legs. Sometimes i was walking slowly after being hit, but happens really rare. ---------- Post added at 02:42 ---------- Previous post was at 02:41 ---------- i think this goes to bCombat thread mate. -
imo stencil shadows do look good in vehicles, maybe it's only place they can be used in game, but seein some street lamps shadows, with stencil, looks unrealistic, looks more like a mirror of and object then it's shadows. So i hope, BIS will get rid of stencil shadows as soon as possible, since our gpu's have enough room to breathe, and should take the job, rendereing shadows. Maybe this will give additioal fps boost, to unload cpu usage.

and we are back, comparing a game which is out 2009, and became tons of updates and content addons, but was so what buggy and more like an alpha at it's release state. Arma 3 is a way better game comparing A2 release vs A3 release, but has less content then A2 now. If you would like to wait until 2015 lol, when the game would look already outdated, fine for you, i'm happy to have it right now, spending 600h already, and planing to spend even more. And yeah, we would get tons of shit from community at BIS, if they would release dayz and delay arma 3, forums would be full of pessismsts. Look you can have already all arma 2 content in arma 3, is that something useless for you, you are ready to wait to 2015 and play same arma 2, which is sowhat dated now over and over? -
maybe i could record this, speed it up twice, and put Benny Hill Show music over it? ;)

i wish DEVs would improve stealth aspect a lot. Me and a buddy liking night stealth op missions. But it can be really disspointing, when guys without NVGs spot you at quite far distances, you can't sneak up on them from behind, they will turn around when you closer then like 20 meters and just shoot you. They will get alerted, when you shoot a patrol down with silenced weapons quick, without letting the patrol guys shoot back, and you are geting shoot by the guys standing 100m away, like they have perfect ears to hear, there were shooting silencers.

Lately i began to notice, light cast range by ground vehicles, is way to low, the faster your vehicle is, the problematic it gets at nights, to see anything at high speeds beyong 3 meters, even driving speedways, can be deadly faster then 100kph at nights. Could the lighth cast range be increased for at least few meters? Could we get near/far light switch, like cars do have in real life? Also i agree on shadow cast slider, i wish it would be at least 1km far, if not further.

another 2 episodes of campaign, also rumors about extra coop campaign i've read some time back. I hope some improvements in graphics like HDAO/HBAO, TTXAA (or whatever introduced AA method for 600gtx series, looks damn good in latest assisn's, not even 8xMSAA looks same good. Improvements on sound engine, finally reverberation and echoing, distat filtering (the further sound, the muffled it sounds) etc. Improved AI, especially at nights, so you could finally do stelth missions, with being afraid spoted at 100m by a guy without NVG's, or killing a patrol with silenced weapons, with alarming other guys around like further then 100m distance. Finally Altis texture overhaul, like suggested by NordKindchen, so midrange textures look HD and contrast, so the camoflaged uniform actually can be hardly seen on it. Jets will come soon. As for me, improving the engine, game itself should be in proirity, before adding more content. -
