If he ports the A2 version, I'd imagine it'd come with A2 warheads. I don't know about thermobaric and PG-7VM, but all the others listed were in Arma 2 if I recall right. Good job, Slatts. I'm especially happy you put the disposable rocket script in :)

what is the most annoying thing for you in arma 3 ?
kilroy the nerd replied to sgtsev3n's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Can people pissing on what people want to play be considered annoying? Personally though, it's AI for me. Something about placing AI in a convoy and trying to keep it in a certain order, followed by them all rearranging with the tanks in the front and the VIP open in the back makes me want to call an airstrike in on every single one of them. -
I just hope they show off the CSAT heavy-lift chopper soon. BI pls. A flying block of Mi-26 would be good enough for me, really. Surely Ka-60 won't be CSAT's primary lift chopper. If we can't have railguns and MLRSs for CSAT, then I want a giant, majestic, unsurprisingly ugly lift chopper!

Hmmm. So apparently BI was recording a EC-135 now? Interesting, interesting...

Orshanets terrain 12.8x12.8km (Ukraine)

Wow, the work you've done is quite beautiful! I'd kind of just like to plop down a civilian and maybe an ATV for travel and just explore. -
A Changing Environment Based on Real Time
kilroy the nerd replied to CaptainAzimuth's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Perhaps if we could have it so that how the island is depends on the date. Then, maybe the salt lakes could become actual water? And say, if you choose a time before 2030 or whenever, the hotel and stadium are still under construction. I doubt it, but I can dream, right? -
Army of the Czech Republic A3 - ACR_A3
kilroy the nerd replied to evromalarkey's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Although this is a fantastic release, I must say... how about dat T-72M4CZ? Or, I think that was the T-72 version anyway. Aside from the lack of tank, excellent work. Can't wait to go sneaky beaky with a team from the 601st and sabotage CSAT. I agree about the T-810 though. One of the things I found neatest about that was an armored version with an LMG mounted. That would be extremely handy. -
Singleplayer, Multiplayer or Editor ?
kilroy the nerd replied to sgtsev3n's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I spend like 70% of my time in editor, 20% trying out workshop missions of varying quality, and 10% playing online. I don't actually accomplish much in the editor, so much as throw together random scenarios like Altian elite police dealing with a gang in Kavala, or being dropped off by a helicopter into a hot LZ to clear an area, nothing spectacularly complicated (or of quality). And even then, most of my time in editor is taking screenshots with the Splendid Camera. -
[POLL] who bought arma 3 because of the game itself or community modifications
kilroy the nerd replied to Tyl3r99's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I bought Arma 3 for vanilla because I thought it would be a vast improvement over Arma 2 with features like taking clothes to hide amongst the enemy, more indepth discussion for the sake of intel with civilians, attaching charges to vehicles, and diving. And while sadly only one of those features has made it to release, that doesn't stop me from loving this game greatly. I could still never go back to Arma 2, not even with mods like ACE or I44, because Arma 3 just feels so much better for me. My only real issue with Arma 3 release is the gunplay in vanilla, and how making a shot doesn't feel as satisfying because you know it probably isn't a kill shot. Sure, it's lacking in content, and a few features demoed before release. But the result we have now is an incredibly more polished product with lovely features like Zeus, Virtual Arsenal, superior infantry movement, and even some little things now like door sounds or the sound of a gear going up in a L-159 ALCA as it takes off an Altian runway to go on an airstrike. Not to say the sounds couldn't use work, but everything could anyway. Sure optimisation remains kind of poor, but I still get higher frames here than on Arma 2! I don't know what I'd do without Arma 3. Even with its share of disappointments, it remains superior in my heart to past entries into the Arma series. -
East vs West (OFP inspired mod)

I agree, LAW for a Rifleman AT might be a bit more appropriate. The new patch looks great! Good job on, well, all of it! -
Irish Armed forces Mod
kilroy the nerd replied to slatts's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
It looks good! My body is ready. Although, when will groups be added, for simple, quick use in the editor? Or did I seriously badly miss something last time I played this mod? -
Also, the official mission, Control Edessa. CSAT and NATO both have a Zeus commanding their team, spawning reinforcements, cover, vehicles, and shells to fight the enemy and take their zones.

ACRE2 Public Beta Release
kilroy the nerd replied to noubernou's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Is this real life? ACRE2 has a public release? Oh joy! -
I'm not sure it's worth it's current price, not until BI releases the DLCs and fixes some outstanding bugs, but for it's Alpha price of $32 it makes me glad I bought it then. If BI lowered the current price to $32 it'd be a huge bargain. Fans can be some of the biggest critics.

East vs West (OFP inspired mod)
kilroy the nerd replied to sudden's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
No, I was referring to that post. RPK-74 would be more recent and more inline with a 1980s armory, yes? For M60s, I found a CWR M60A3 searching for vilas's. It has a woodland texture by him at least. Also, he has an M60A3 in his P85 mod. -
I really wish BI could give us some more hints. If Marksmen DLC will be like Helicopter DLC, it will be an improvement, but still hardly real life. I doubt BI would improve wounding system for Marksmen DLC, unless it's just a change bundled with, but I would hope they'd finally make it so I can shoot through people. Like the Canadian sniper who killed two insurgents with one 12.7x99mm bullet. It's strange when a tank shell can penetrate everything except a person's back. Wind is already in A3, we just need to be able to measure and adjust for it. I'm gonna be really sad if BI doesn't add bipods or weapon resting. They're a dream feature of the BI community, and if they're adding sling loading and firing from vehicles, weapon resting must come too. Right?

A bit of Warfare mode and what it taught me.
kilroy the nerd replied to silentghoust's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Well, one issue. I believe thermals on vehicles can actually be disabled with scripting. Also, RPG-42 doesn't have lock on, though otherwise that's correct. Otherwise, this is a really interesting piece. I never really thought of logistics in Arma besides landing back at base in my aircraft to rearm, and continuing on my way. I see BI's new system is working as intended, when you say you didn't wear helmets and platecarriers. I usually just try to counter it by taking breaks, but it doesn't always work. My only real problems with Arma 3 are the relentless shake that I can't do anything about (well, not without weapon resting mods), damage, and the lack of soft skinned military vehicles. And even then, the MRAPs can be easily penetrated with a .50, and the .408 Cheetah from the M200 sniper rifle can penetrate the windows if I remember right. I still can't understand the fuss over it being futuristic. Even if it was, what if I told you US riflemen didn't use SCARs as seen in OA? Would your immersion be ruined then? Nevermind that almost everything but the Mi-48 exists in real life. The other thing I took away from this? I need to play more Warfare. This was like a subtle, effective ad for Warfare. Seriously though, I hope you get more findings like this. If you were a journalist doing editorial pieces, I'd definitely try to find more of your stuff. -
East vs West (OFP inspired mod)
kilroy the nerd replied to sudden's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Small thing, wouldn't it be RPK-74 if this takes place in the 1980s? Also, could we get M60s and T-64s or a similar tank of the era, eventually? It'd make sense if we wanted to have combat taking place before the Abrams was widespread. -

Love the new update! Although, I notice after driving straight for a few seconds the BTR-60 wobbles like crazy, otherwise all is good. It says on your Make Arma Not War page you're working on AGS-30 and Kornet, both of which came out in 1990s. If you haven't already started, would a AGS-17 and a Metis or Konkurs possibly be more appropriate? Metis would make a good counterpart for the M47 Dragon from OA. Good luck in the competition though Sudden! Can't wait to see those T-72s, M1s, marksmen and recon infantry! -
Wrong sub. This is for officially made missions from the developers of Arma 3, Bohemia Interactive. Just felt it'd be nice to point that out. Nice cars though, even if the F-150 makes no sense with red headlights.

Make a ticket perhaps? Although, I think someone might've already made a ticket for making groups to use in Zeus, as well as making new compositions (for example, Camp Defiance). If I could just find it again...

Oh. Well I was going off people killed around the beginning.

Far in the future pls. Falklands is good too though. I also want, in particular, a WWII mod finally set in glorious North Africa. Panzer IIIs fighting Crusaders in the open desert, the Desert Rats of Tobruk repelling the Germans, Italian Mc. 202 Folgores taking to the skies against Hurricanes... I think North Africa isn't shown nearly as much as it should be compared to the Pacific, Ostfront, and Western front. Especially that last one. Actually, I forgot Kosovo. I wanna play KFOR.

General Discussion (dev branch)
kilroy the nerd replied to DnA's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Weird, I only got that when I played Stratis Zeus and put down one of the domes. Forgot which one, but I guess they don't have a sound for sliding doors properly in yet. -
Only 557 hours here, though it grows on a weekly basis still. Since dev branch has no continually populated servers like stable does, I just try stuff in singleplayer. If I'm on stable, I try to find a good Workshop mission to play alone, or I play with FOLK ARPS. Usually the former, as of recent, though.
