    Why would we even expect weapon resting for AI when they don't really shoot from cover well to begin with? I honestly doubt the real issue is that AI couldn't use it well (as I honestly don't even believe they've tried). I mean, vehicle doors function on some of these A3 vehicles and we can even get those.

    Actually, in this case, it probably will, as that tech demo didn't look all too different from their AC3/4 AnvilNext Engine. Stuff like that IS possible if the engine is not the RV engine. Sorry to disappoint, but there ARE engines that, while they feature smaller terrains, do have better, and I do mean better, graphics than Arma 3.

    Yeah, as has been said, there's a Licensed Content Pack full of unprotected pbos with binarized models, and then there's the Sample pack that contains the unbinarized MLODs without textures (probably to keep the size down).

    Well, this belongs in the Community Wishes Thread (this one needs to be closed) but the OP's point is that he's requesting that BI add these units. Mods aren't a solution to any request for BI to do something, especially if you want to play with said units in multiplayer, as with so many different servers with different mods, one wants to play on a vanilla server with those units without having to download an addon.

    Maybe? Those textures have been there since Survive, and yeah, that's how he will look in Adapt and probably Win. He's got to get his SF on, you know, after he joins CTRG ('least I expect for him to join them)...

    Uh, just de-pbo the pbos, as these pbos aren't protected like the ones that came with the DLCs. And the textures are HD. It's in the licensed data pack, not the sample models, so just take them from there. And I just realized that the CSAT gorka (calling it that cuz the uniform's design is like a future gorka variant), or the pants of it, come from the BAF uniform (kneepad too). Already knew the NATO Crye Combat Shirt came from the BAF uniform.

    I'd do the regular ECHs for the AAF. Them being a smaller force and nation, I'd expect them to have the future equivalent of MICHs for their SF (that'd be the ECH - Enhanced Combat Helmet). OPSCORE seems a little too much for the AAF. But, your choice. Just a suggestion.

    Emerald 8, you currently play as the US Army in Arma 3. I doubt you'll see the other branches in Arma 3 (well, there SHOULD be a US Air Force pilot when the NATO jet is released, because, well it's NATO, but really US forces). We might see the Marines again in an upcoming standalone expansion pack (if BIS does the Pacific theater, if they do a standalone expansion pack at all).

  12. No, they aren't working on female models, those very old A3 videos don't mean anything. Most of that stuff was removed.

    No. You can't. You'd have to change the model to do that. And make darker textures for different LODs to use. You can't do that without editing the model.

    They're in the pack with the binarized pbos, not in the pack (zip file(s)) with the sample models. So I'm not sure if they are free to use, and if so, why BIS included binarized pbos in the first place. I guess that's what I really don't understand.

    No, because those textures are in a binarized pbo. Honestly BIS explicitly says they are, them I'm not sure. If they are free to use, then I wish they'd have just put them with the sample models, or put them in a new zip folder to cut down on size.

    Samples don't have the textures, the other download, which contains pbos, are binarized pbos. That's not just Cherno, but all the islands in that zip file. My point, is what was the point of releasing the binarized pbos? The samples aren't in pbo files. They're just folders. And, since the textures are in the binarized pbos, I'd assume that you aren't allowed to take the textures from the pbos. Your sample models still require the textures.

    I really don't even understand the point in releasing binarized pbos. I mean, do they want people to rip them open? And, if so, why not just release the textures with the samples?

    Yep. Nice little trolling that is... Releases incomplete CWC-A2OADLC assets so that you can work from them but not directly port and release them without doing something illegal, that way they still can sell their old games. So, no, you're still not getting Chernarus, Takistan, or whatever other island/terrain you want for free. Still have to require the previous games.
  22. Download the licensed data package (not the sample models), extract that via methods mentioned, and you might find the textures in there.

    I mean, I know it's been there, just saying what it should be, and the mention of it provided a perfect opportunity to mention it. But does it influence more than just shooting accuracy?

    No, not necessarily. Honestly, I'd say it should be random within a certain range (so never zero, never max). Because, correct me if I'm wrong, but this skill level really just applies to their shooting accuracy, right?
