  1. Guys- what should I do?I hate that futuristic crap, but at the same time I really want to support BiS by buying their content. So if I buy DLC, that'd be another customer happy with current design direction which I hate. If I don't pay for DLC, that's one less customer happy about advanced FM. I really don't know what to do....
  2. Make start up procedure/ controlls optional. Problem solved.
  3. There was a mod in development that adds switches (icons) to cockpit somewhere here.
  4. Do You plan to add Force Trim function for FFB users? Simply map one button to set new center, so FFB keeps joystick in that area (not so I need to return joystick to a new center), and another button to release (reset) Trim Center. I have additional program to handle it in DCS (simFFB.exe), but it doesn't work with Arma. Maybe if it had an option to remove FFB all together (thats another request).
  5. @doveman In DCS we have Force Trim. I would love to get it in Arma too. It is very easy to do, so BiS- pretty please:)

  7. I am impressed with Dslyecxi's video comparison. He did great job, I hope BiS takes his points into consideration. Still- even with current FM state I am having great time flying around A3, so thank You for giving us RotorLib guys!

  10. Just spent a while flying around. I like it so far. FMwise I would like more experienced players to review, I might add something after few additional flight hours. I would like to be able to turn FFB ingame, or to have Force Trim option avaliable (it is different feature from what we have in A3 right now). We can turn additional gauges on, and change their placement, but only gauge I need apart from what is present in 3d cockpit is wind direction (not neccesary merged with compas as in 2d gauge), so maybe an option to disable each 2d gauge indivudually? If we could get at least simplified startup procedure as in TOH- it would be awesome!

  12. Hope You continue supporting us with RotorLib tweaks Fred! There are couple upcoming helicopter mods that are likely to be in pair with Alphasim's FSX addons, with RL FM we can hope to get something amazing for Arma 3.

  19. I just googled "Metal Gear Solid helicopter" and I ended up seeing much more realistic pictures than I can see in Arma at the moment. I love BiS for what they've been doing for all this years and I kept supporting them by buying all their OFP or ArmA related products so far (even if I don't play all of them), but I feel like we have to express our feelings about how we- customers find their products fit our needs. If we don't we might see "Arma 4: 2200 galactic marines". I am honestly happy there are people enjoying design choices developers took with Arma 3, but the core community is more interested in seeing realistic setting. Why release gear that is going to be used 10 years from now if community WILL make appropate mods as soon as we see that technology entering real battlefield. As EricJ mentioned- just browse usermade content; it is a good way to see what community wants. Like I said- hope You are enjoying Arma3, I am just looking for means for community to make mods to make Arma more appealing to us. Take care!
  20. Let's make it CoD- arcade FPS set on small maps- go play Arma2 if You want open battlefield sim! I don't play CoD, but do they even have drivable vehicles? Anyways You are welcome to move back to CoD at any time Sir!
  21. Ok, here is my take on Helicopters DLC- BiS has already decided on what helicopters are going to be included, or at least they already thought it through. They didn't mention they're going future as far as I understand official news (yeah, I get that campaign is set in future). I hope for UH-60 (any version will do, but I personally love steam gauges over CTD). But I admit I am biased- that Ghosthawk and all that sci-fi stuff is an immersion killer for me. It looks more like a Metal Gear, or something than old good ArmA that put You into a battlefield You could see in the TV news...
