I had issues too trying to port for a3mp a while back. But everything seemed to spawn just fine... For one side. You could essentially play it as SP warfare. But if another player tried to join the other side, he'd find that the hq never spawned and that he's spawning into the original slot soldiers. I assumed it was an issue with the mods since Alduric was having issues making it compatible with saving and such. If anyone figures it out, please let me know!

Not sure if it's been reported yet, but I found a couple issues. First one is that many of the mid east city structures let vehicles clip through the floors. Example: Second one is the three lamp street lights in Chernarus and it's smaller copies. Example: Don't have an image of this one. To reproduce, go hang out in Berezino's monument square. When viewing from one angle, it looks perfect. When viewing from the opposite angle, a large orange orb of light floats half way down the pole and off center. Very jarring.

Official launcher isn't working
RSF TheCapulet replied to AttentionHorse's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Any update on this, BIS? Hasn't worked for me since day 1 release on dev branch. Still the same experience in subsequent updates (and stable branch, ofc), and a reinstall. I've even been contacted directly from a BIS dev asking for error logs. Yet quite a while after it's official release, it's still not working, and there's still not been one bit of info about it. (or even a "known issues" update) Sure, I don't need it. But it's certainly frustrating when I have to direct connect to someone else's PC, just to gather screenshots for our groups tutorial on it. What's more frustrating is the radio silence concerning it. If it wasn't done, it shouldn't have been released. -
A2 Island Lighting Fixes
RSF TheCapulet replied to Gudsawn's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
In reference to the third image, I feel like a lot of what ends up as the brown grey washed out sky in arma 2 & 3 w/ fix is actually fog IRL, and something that can be simulated in A3 now, rather than having to fake it as in A2. -

General Discussion (dev branch)
RSF TheCapulet replied to DnA's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Yep, Nikiforos has the right of it. You'd best get those damn sound producers/designers back to their desks and hammering out code like the rest of the studio. And I don't want to hear any excuses about how they're sound guys, not code guys, or that they don't know how to program. That's the thinnest excuse ever! JUST MAKE EVERYONE DO EVERYTHING, SO I GET MY IDEA OF A PERFECT GAME! -
Patch 1.24 (Bootcamp Update) Feedback
RSF TheCapulet replied to nikiforos's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
BIS announced the weapon config changes well in advance. It was up to fixing a broken system, or leaving it broken so it didn't disrupt a few modder's days. In addition to that, many of the most popular pack's authors have announced their plans to update quickly to accommodate now that the update has been released. (not sure why more didn't take care of it sooner, as it was documented for quite some time) Bi-Pods and weapon resting were never announced, and it's silly to be so demanding from a totally free update. And we all know not to expect major mechanic changes like that outside of DLC/Expansion territory. I feel like your whole complaint centers around the fact that you've no patience for free content (mods, free major updates, etc). -

I, for one, thought the new mini-campaign was brilliant. And I really appreciate the new VR 'island'. -

Same here. Hadn't checked it again though since it was dropped on the dev branch. ---------- Post added at 09:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:10 PM ---------- The launcher being invisible that is... Since quote doesn't seem to work in the mobile theme. -
Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)
RSF TheCapulet replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
It's quite obviously not developed with the aim of making your life harder in PVP. It's just dumping more simulation into an aspect of the original release that was quite frankly half baked. There are no perks, tricks, or special gear that is going to make this any easier for your opponent. Every player will be limited by physical simulation, just as it should be. It's your job as a player to overcome simple problems like fatigue to accomplish your mission.- 1935 replies

[OPEN BETA] [SP] bCombat infantry AI Mod
RSF TheCapulet replied to fabrizio_t's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Many of the scripts aren't included in the PBO that way they can be edited for beta testing purposes. Because of this, the mod calls them from a specific place, which isn't the same folder that Pw6 puts them in. You can run it with Pw6 just fine as a local mod until it hits it's final form. And you can even run it inside your mydocs/arma 3 folder, as long as you put copies of the scripts in an additional bcombat mod folder inside the root arma 3 folder. -
When will it be used on ladders? :)

I can't stand uneducated senseless posts like these. How many times do you have to be told that a designer can't do a programmers job before you start to understand? It's a simple concept to wrap your mind around.

MRB - ArmA 3 - Kartinator
RSF TheCapulet replied to mr burns's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Krem, wth are you talking about? Devs have already specifically stated that the ways around this specific restriction were intended. He clearly states in the addon description that all other restrictions have been left in place, as they should be. And most telling; the devs have left this up. If they had a problem with it, we wouldn't be here discussing it. -
MRB - ArmA 3 - Kartinator
RSF TheCapulet replied to mr burns's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
You fail to understand that you can only speak for yourself though. You and a few others don't like this method. Some are able to see the merit in it and support it completely. And most probably don't care enough to do more than wait and see, to watch how it turns out. -
So much ignorance and bullshit self entitlement in this thread... I can't even handle it. I love the Karts DLC. They're a bit touchy on my 360 controller, but a blast to drive.

LOSounds2 - A Hyper Funny Sound Mod For ArmA3
RSF TheCapulet replied to laxemann's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I'd love to see someone who does the buffer spring spooling sound when shooting some of the fixed stock rifles. You'd only hear it in the right ear (since there are no left handed shooter poses), and it'd be faint. But it'd be amazingly hyper-realistic. -
Hiring Modder (Details ITT!)
RSF TheCapulet replied to Forester155's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I think the best way to decide whether this is acceptable or not is to simply let the modders decide. If someone picks it up, then it was clearly worth it to them, giving the idea credence. If not, then this thread will get buried, and we'll never hear of it again. -
If it makes you feel any better, the front sight posts on my AR-15 looks exactly as it's modeled in RH's guns. I suppose it depends entirely on the manufacturer of the front sight block.

Hiring Modder (Details ITT!)
RSF TheCapulet replied to Forester155's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I honestly don't understand why so many people are against this initiative. Many modders ask for donations, and a lot of modders talk about how jobs/RL come first. This is simply an incentive for any particular modder who could do this quickly, or is already working on something similar to design a mod made specifically for a designer/community. This doesn't imply anything more than the requester values the modders time, but at the same time he values his own time as well. I honestly find it kind of grating that the community is trashing this dude just because he's offering a bit of cash in return for someone's time. One thing I'd like to see is an agreed license format as well though. That way the OP can't claim that he paid for the work, and that it's now private. But it's very clear from his posts that there's no intention to do that in the first place. What I'd really like to see this type of thing evolve into is kind of like a trading post for skills. (For instance: I'll trade you web design work for config coding, texture/UV wrapping work for mission design, etc) I think something like this could really benefit the community as a whole. While I don't have the skill to complete either of these requests, I support this initiative completely. Doesn't BIS already do this? -
SCAR rifles ported from Arma 2
RSF TheCapulet replied to slatts's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Now we just need someone to make a model swap config. (The scar, being such an adaptive platform, would be perfect for this. I'm fairly certain a 6.5 barrel kit for these is so close to reality that it already likely exists) Great work slatts! :) -

Development build logo showing while on stable branch

Yep, same. Only see this after using splendid camera. I imagine this is something someone forgot to take out when they started including the splendid cam in stable branch.
