    Then pay attention to updates on a thread and monitor it all the time. when you have 75 mods it's just not worth the hassle to most people. And being someone that played back when that was the only way personally not interested anymore, either. a easier way is possible. Six used to be fine now it's junk i won't install to my PC anymore. You can act like it's not a big deal, but for most people, I promise they do not bother if it's not on Steam. Most people have much better things to do with their time and don't even know how to find mod folders, etc. regardless. I know this a great mod, but without steam it's just not happening for my group, and I am far from alone on that. No disrespect meant to jardhead at all, no pressure, and no hard feelings. He does what he wants with his stuff, simple as that. Just stating a simple fact, he cares, or doesn't, it's up to him. I don't need your patronizing me about easy, either. Respect people's position, I respect his even if I choose to let him know mine. Said my piece, done now unless something worth replying to is said rather than worthless rabble that just gets the mods upset anyways :P

    Hope one day this will be on steam. My group isn't willing to manually install these mods and SiX is junkware so. Used to love this mod but now we only run what is on steam, reduces headaches so much for us with full time jobs and other responsibilities. I realize this will probably never happen, guess I'll have to not use this again :/ I'm sure it's as amazing as it always was.
  3. Not sure if this is the right spot, if it's a bug or not possible so asking here. I am trying to bind my mouse to some of mod's keybindings via the configure addons for controls (awesome addition BTW) But it seems -only- keyboard keys actually work in this menu, is this normal or what? Any advice to work around as well would be welcome.

    I'll vote on that ticket I suppose was hoping I could edit a file and just put the bind manually. Shame, my mouse is programmable obviously but not sure I want to swap profiles specifically for this game, guess i could ultimately...might end up being what i have to do, kinda particular about my keybinds.

  6. Yeah having no boxgen anymore and not being able to edit cargo has rendered this useless to me. the dev version seems mission only no addon version i updated and no idea how to do so. Pretty well puts arma on hold until this is working again :( Thanks for the good work though impressed by the progress this has made since i last played a year or so ago. Can wait a bit longer I guess.
  7. So far mate all you have are words and nothing to back them up yet. People here are posting evidence to the contrary and my own testing yields the same results, and also why i quit for several years. it's sad to know nothing has changed.

    Absurd lack of Steam Workshop's moderation

    It's honestly garbage, I hate it but forced to deal with it. I have the 2 major browsers installed and one fork and their site either doesn't work or half works on them. The program is not much better and it's a huge PITA to get people setup with my modset anymore. Compared to a old sync program from Arma 2 it's honestly horrific. Steam would be many magnitudes more user friendly especially for sharing collections and is not limited to the ungodly slow in the modern internet speed of 1.25MB/sec. Steam would give me these mods at my full 10MB/sec+ speeds which isn't really fast for internet anymore. I appreciate the work especially when six first started, it honestly was a better program back then than now. Now I wish i could rid of it, but having 46+GB of mods prevents that from being a option until I get a server that will allow for it, and even then, updating the server itself would be a PITA. -SIGH- But if you want to managed a lot of mods, it is the only, and thus best option outside using Arma3Sync and updating the server itself manually or whatever.

    Yep same boat here, done with A3 until it's fixed and if not fixed by DLC or next arma, I will be done with the franchise until it is sorted out, or sadly, goes under. No point going on about it anymore it's a dead horse, anyone who isn't a fanatic fanboy white knight already knows what's wrong, the devs know it's wrong. So yep, enough said, done here until I see dev logs about changes to this core issue.
  10. I simply cannot login to this editor, nothing happens no matter how many times I click it, have re-dl'd it a dozen times, works not on my server or locally, it gives no error either. Spams my RPT logs with can't find .wav's of a myriad of kinds and is generally just not functioning, access denied to everything, this is the mod version, have not bothered with the missions version, yet. Mod doesn't work, mission does, which then makes the mod work, ironically, but only when both are running at the same time, pity that. I used to use a mix of VTS and MCC to make some killer dynamic missions.
  11. i cannot for the life of me get my mods to show up for anyone, they show up in the FTP, they are there on the physical server location, everything else says it should be finding them. but when I make the repository, and then use the autoconfig on my personal machine to sync with my server, there are ZERO mods, funny as i added 40 mods! I'm pulling my hair out at this point, I've been fighting with it all day and tried at least 30 different things at this point. Found this with some digging, this is what I get .     Horribly incorrect and you have little to now understanding of the human eye, as white pointed out, military also tested this on their fighter pilots to find they can see fluidity changes all the way up and past 400FPS. Keeping in mind they also like gamers because they tend to have the same responses as their fighter pilots, thus are easier to train. Then you're terrible, as I was a CoD4 promod professional for over a year I can tell you right now you have zero idea what you're on about. At lower FPS I could scope you so quickly you'd never have seen the shot take place, there is a reason CS professionals and leagues demanded use of 120hz monitors, it really is that simple. If you want to live in your bubble that's fine, plug your ears and la la that's fine too, but do realize you're not the world, just because it doesn't help you, doesn't make it not help anyone else. Thank you kind sir, I do not say thing just to say them. Hence why i got a low post count though have been around years, i don't waste my time with tribble.

    Syncing is mostly bandwidth and latency, however like anything does have a small performance hit, but not in the magnitude we see now.

    I'm sorry but this a fallacy. I can expect this engine to do so as CryEngine can do so and it -is- your competition. Complex games are already in th works or out in beta as we speak that calculate unbelievable amounts of algorithms while pushing cpu's well in excess of 75% usage, closer to 90%. It can be done, and the fact arma cannot is one of the most defining reasons it's not taken off. a dual core i3 can run this game virtually the same speed clock for clock, this was certainly true of Arma 2. This is unacceptable, period, CryEngine can get into so much detail as water currents across rivers spanning island sizes much larger than Stratis, so stop pulling our legs. I'm not stupid, and neither are the people who wish to play your game. Get it in gear, make this game playable for everyone and reward those who bought serious machines to play this. The fact my older machine is not effected in FPS make or otherwise (Aside 3D res, not enough VRAM) yet NEITHER my GPU -or- cpu is pushed much past 30-50% and I lag either way is -NOT ACCEPTABLE, PERIOD- Get it together, so that we can make this one of the largest games on PC, and show people what a -real- PC game is. P.S.: Love Arma, love B.I. And will continue to support you, bought the digital collector's pack, will buy all DLC and expansions as I did before. But it's hard to get my friends to play because they got 3-7 thousand dollar custom built rigs that can't play the game any better then vastly inferior machines, all of which lag. It's a major put off, and to anyone who says you don't need the high FPS because of the pace of the game, this is a HORRIBLE and SERIOUSLY incorrect mindset, smoothness is smoothness, if you move at all, if anything moves, you want it to be smooth, people can and do see higher FPS, the eye can be trained like any other part of your body, stop with the fud.

    Sounds like they are more lazy than anything else, also ignorance is bliss and honestly, you just can't fix stupid. I've never noticed a discernible difference on my server nor my locally hosted ones either, RPT logs, maybe, but everything and it's brother floods that thing anyways and nothing a simple search or any experienced server admin cannot or has not dealt with on a daily basis. Sorry if that seems brash or only partially applicable but honestly I have like 110 mods I load and his is by far one of the least intrusive to run and at the end of the day, I think the loss is theirs, or they just don't got the sound equipment or hearing left to even appreciate quality work in the first place. Again sorry if that is brash, I'm not too great on tact sadly and no offense is meant if there is any gotten from this. Anyways, cheers Jarhead, -GREAT- mod it's one of my group's favorite additions!
  17. Not at all the same, when you got as many mods as I do, grouping them in sections is so much easier to debug than to do it one by one, which could take, oh, days. I can eliminate a group of mods that do certain functions and this lowers debug time down astronomically, without this function it's simply not a practical option for me and i run my mods all at one time, i do not join other servers, I run my own, cheers!
  18. Only thing this lacks is mod groups, if it had that I'd switch from my old and still working launcher from spirited machine. Also this does not seem to have a CO option, does it not support separate game installs as Steam does? Not a issue for me but will be for most i play with.
  19. Sketchy multiplayer support here, 90% of the time no one can see one another's server Edit: turns out now battle eye required is a default setting, when not hosting a dedicated server it won't show up until set to no, you need a "All" option

  21. I tried all HDR settings no change, this was also reported by someone else in the comments of Armaholic, I have the same issue as he.
  22. Well one bug I noticed, it doesn't play kind with some conditional effects like getting too tired, or being injured. At night the moonlight will go pretty well completely dark with a blue hue and you can't see anything period ever. It's like the white light is removed and replaced with dark blue, dunno how else to explain it.

    MCC Sandbox - The Mod

    The need to swap zones is minor, maybe simply adding more total zones is a perfectly acceptable solution for now, or perhaps the ability to completely delete it? As for where the issue occurs, not entirely sure, i have 27 islands or something like that, hard to remember! I'll see if I notice again soon, it may just be bugging with VTS which i still need for -some- functions, mainly WP functions, shop, respawn, mission starting parameters and the glorious LGB script.
  25. Unintended problem! You can help move body of ENTIRE HOUSES etc, might want to fix that XD The only way to fix the house was for -everyone- who was on in any way when it happened to reboot.
