  1. No big performance hit in here. What's your GPU? Not sure do I even get any performance hit. Could be 1-2fps max.

    DirecxtX 12 for ArmA 3?

At the same time there is this: Btw if I don't have faith in DX12 then I don't believe Vulkan will be any different (and other way around though Vulkan hasn't really showed much yet). For Arma 3. Well it's said that devs need to do something with their engine if they want to see any benefit from DX12. And there was this comment from BI dev that so far there hasn't been any good results, so I got to wonder if BIS can or will do any chages...

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

Hmm maybe there's a virus because someone solved it with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware https://www.reddit.com/r/arma/comments/3deiu1/arma_3_my_game_freezesthe_fps_drops_whenever_i/So I recommend doing that at least. I guess you've now enough posts so you can make own topic. Maybe people will notice the topic easier and are able to help you more. I also recommend to make a feedback ticket in that link that I posted before. Developers will notice it easier from there. We now know it's happening only with BattEye enabled and mfc80u.dll is blocked by BattlEye. It shouldn't block that file so there could be a virus in the computer. Or something is just outdated.

    Audio Tweaking (dev branch)

So needs the fps ;) Smoke eats fps very heavily so I'd like to see newer technology first.
  5. I live in Finland and my Steam download region is Finland. I bought my Arma 3 and DLCs straight from the Steam and Apex from BIStore,
  6. Here are the logs -link removed- I now tried two times today with RC branch so there should be fresh logs. stderr seemed to be empty.

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

OK I've heard that one before. Does BattlEye block anything (usually .dll files) when he starts the game? You can see it in the launcher's BattlEye tab. Maybe it's blocking something from the keyboard. Also does he have any mods running or is it the same without mods?
  8. The Beta password works in Steam. I'll send the logs in 8h when I get home.

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

What keyboard he has and what drivers it uses? There are couple of these kind of reports happening every now and then but I don't know what has caused those. One thing you could try is to run the game without BattlEye. You can try to report it in here and get some help or even find same issue with the search function: http://feedback.arma3.com/my_view_page.php Here's how to guide: http://feedback.arma3.com/how-to-user.html
  10. I guess because PhysX isn't the only GameWorks feature they're now supporting. HBAO+ is also part of the GameWorks. got  'd

    Release Candidate Branch Discussion

I now made a topic about this https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/187971-game-updater-doesnt-load-rc-or-legacy-branch/

    Release Candidate Branch Discussion

I can't currently use Game Updater to get RC Branch. Dev branch (and every other that doesn't require password) works fine. It says something about the password so something about the Steam likely? "ERROR! Timed out waiting for password check." Just a funny coincidence that you just said in the SITREP you can use the game updater to get the RC branch but currently it somehow isn't possible (bugged)

    Audio Tweaking (dev branch)

There is a big difference if it's 5m away or 30m away, I just tested it. The pitch when it's close is different and sounds like it passes close. Further away it's just that "lame snap" like it should be. In my opinion that's pretty close to what I'd expect in reality.

    Audio Tweaking (dev branch)

In shooting range I heard the snaps easily through shooting. In military service we had 150m and 300m ranges side by side separated naturally with a big wall of sand/earth. I was pretty much in the level of the targets that other range were shooting, around 50m away in the other range. So those shots were 150m targets and I was in the level of the targets around 50m away with a barrier between. RK62 should've the same caliber as SKS 7.62x39.

This game is too hard :(

Maybe 25-75m away I could consider. I'm not that good with the mouse. Btw one tip for the glocks999. You can try to use iron sights. I prefer them over the collimator sights if that's the only sight you get. I also play under 0.3 AI accuracy.

    Audio Tweaking (dev branch)

You can hear sonic crack pretty far away in real life. But it should be pretty easy to say if it's 5m or 50m from you. Need to test myself how loud it's in the game from further away.

This game is too hard :(

OPFOR fatigues give crazy amount of protection. Usually two grenades under their feet or minimum three shots with a rifle. You and your team mates don't usually have that much protection.

    Audio Tweaking (dev branch)

I agree that it would be cool if the sound changes a bit if the bullet is shot further away. Currently it's like it's that same full sound or nothing if enough far away. The impact sounds are there, though they could be maybe bit more audible. Different bullet impacts and stuff: Here you can see that there's that full sonic crack or nothing. Also you hear some impact sounds.

    Game launches at 800x600 everytime

Seems like this was the only cause for this issue now. It wasn't the reason couple months ago but now that I disabled RTSS, the game launches normally everytime.

Menu is Broken, or the Game Is

Launch the game in windowed mode. When the game is launched you can use Alt+Enter to bring the full screen. There has been some weird resolution issues since the last Fall. Could be related issue.

RAID 0 and arma 3 performance

Hmmm laptop and upgrading. Biggest improvement you'll see would be overclock the CPU and naturally disable every power saving option. But I don't know how good option that is with laptops. You don't really need more RAM. And I don't know about RAM upgrading for laptops if there really are any good fast sticks for them.

    dayz forum status

Must be one hell of an exploit or hack if it forces forums in maintenance for almost a month soon. I changed every BI related passwords just in case even though the BI account uses different database or whatever.

Any sounds that should be ready for commenting or sounds that are still so heavily WIP that shouldn't be bothered much to comment?

    Textures Blurred

Depends what settings you really use and what GPU you've. If you've 1GB of VRAM then it's no wonder because you don't have enough memory to have every texture good looking in the distance. Say your computer specs and then we can start to wonder if it's right what you see. Though I didn't really see anything wrong if you're using texture detail standard. Looks normal to me. Btw use Aniso. Filter on Ultra. There shouldn't be cards that can't run that. Also Sharpen filter can give nice crisp image. PPAA: CMAA is good and light compared to those others but don't use it if it drops your frames too much. Better leave FSAA off if your card can't really run the game well.

    Textures Blurred

You seem to have not that good GPU so don't use FSAA and you might want to use CMAA and not SMAA. Then sharpen filter can sharpen the image. But what comes to the texture blur, you want to use as high texture detail as possible. Also the ground texture blur can be hidden a bit increasing the terrain detail, because then it draws grass longer distance. I guess you don't have a good GPU with enough VRAM so you can't get better looking game without a big fps cost.
